I've not done this before and don't plan on going forward, but just once thought I'd use the board to see if there are any members out there, or their friends, interested in adopting a dog. I am on the board of a local dog adoption group. Here are some of the available dogs. Three in particular we've had for a while, for no particular reason, and are great dogs. CASSIDY Cassidy is cute as heck, little three legged Terrier mix. She has a lot of energy but is generally just really happy and bounces along. More on her, including video, at the link. PERCIVAL Percy is a male Golden/Brittany Spaniel mix. He's a a real calm, easy going guy. More, including video, at the link. PEARL Pearl is your classic mix, though probably mostly lab. She wasn't doing so well when she joined the program but is healthy, happy and ready to go. More, including video, at the link. Again, I don't want to be all over the board with available dogs. There are always some available. I just know these three in particular are really cute, healthy, ready to go, and more than anything, eager to get some personal time in a home. These three get along with each other great, though as can often be the case with rescues, can be timid around new dogs and people at first. Just a matter of comfort. So, check em out, if you or someone you know might be interested follow instructions on petfinder. Appreciated!
Those dogs look cute and I hope someone adopts them. I have a GSD and he just grew on me. Dogs can be really good friends and pets and btw I really appreciate what are you doing for these animals, thats helluva achievement
Another bump. Here's the new shelter link: Dog and Cats for Adoption The original dogs are still available there, plus a ton more. Of note, there is a litter of 6 jack russell terrier / dachshund puppies on page 2. 2 girls and 6 boys ranging from 5 pounds to 11 pounds. Esme Alice Cullen Jasper Edward Emmett If you or anyone responsible you know is looking to add a new family member, please point them that way! THANKS
Percy looks like a champ! Around the size of most of the dogs I've had over the years... 45-55 pounds. If I didn't already have a dog (who's a few weeks shy of 13, but still going strong) and more to the point, if I didn't want another Labradoodle, like The Wonder Dog, from back in the day, I'd really be interested. Whoever gives Percy a home won't regret it. He's got that "look" of a good dog. Great thing you're doing. Kudos!
Not at the moment. You can try Pup Squad or Friends of Barc - those are also good rescue groups in town.
thought I'd bump again. Percy from first post is adopted. All the puppies have been adopted. Cassidy and Pearl are still looking for loving homes. They are great dogs. Tracy This one's a little older, and not as athletic as it once was. He's got chronic back problems, but it's hard to tell how he really feels sometimes. Being that his energy level is low, he tends to be lazy. Also ignore his lazy eye, it's not a serious problem. This one could really use a new home, please adopt.
Terriers are awesome small dogs, and Cassidy is a 'get you laid' dog for a single guy. I can't believe she's not adopted. JayZ750- email me at xerobull @ gmail.com if you come across a male Mastiff puppy.
