As NewYorker said earlier (here? somewhere!), Adelman has some experience with guys coming back too soon from this kind of surgery. Webber with the Kings. Obviously, that didn't work out too well.

This leak feels like a management trial balloon to me ...

Sorta reminds me when they let the potential first Olajawon trade leak, and when fans negatively reacted, they withdrew.

Since it seems fans are fed up, I'd expect a trade soon, and maybe one that doesn't seem we got the best end of the deal. If fans want to let him go, they'll be less forgiving if its not another Morey brilliant move.

Morey has been so careful on leaks to date. It's hard to imagine Clutch would have tweeted, without confirmation. There is a reason for this ...

No doubt about it, and that is not even taking into consideration all that happened last year between Tmac and the organization and teamates.

If this is true, that means that Yahoo! article could very well have been on point.

Adelman is giving McGrady the cold shoulder, and McGrady is anxious to play to prove to the organization that he's worth keeping. I think he really wants to stay a Rocket, but he's scared that he'll get traded away without a chance to prove himself. That's why he's pushing and lobbying to get on the court right away.

Time for a T-Mac vid DD. I say in your next vid, you run through the NBA on potential partners. It would at least get our hopes up for a min.

Is it possible that the quote is that Adelman has zero interest in TMac playing "now?" Does this mean he doesn't want TMac to ever play on the team, or just that he doesn't want to be responsible for TMac losing his career from playing too quickly after surgery? Or, that he wants to make sure that TMac will stay in the rotation, and not be in and out?

    ... just wondering.

If theres a trade brewing, then this is a trial balloon, but if he's wanting to wait, we'll hear in the next few days this was all a misunderstanding, and how much Adelman "cares" about TMac.

Do you know more? Last time I checked was that Alston was furious, Artest was taking it on himself. That was it.

Who do you think has a better reputation around the league based on their history........Rick Adelman or Tracy mcGrady? Better question, who do you think stands to lose more at this point? Rick's not going anywhere.

Rick and Morey are only doing what Sam Mitchell, Doc Rivers/Weisbrod and JVG and CD couldn't do and that is to let Tracy no who's running the show.

This is what happens when Tracy's fans basically try and whitewash Tracy's past and make it seem like all of the drama that's followed him since his last year in Toronto up to now are all misunderstandings.

Every coach, GM, scout, ballboy and ticket counter around the league knows Tracy's history and the drama that follows him around. For some reason, Tracy fans don't see it though.

If Tracy had kept his yap shut last week, all of this wouldn't be spilling out like it is. But once again (just as he did last year with the press conferences announcing his injury status during the halftime of games when he wasn't even playing) Tracy finds ways to keep the focus off of the team and make it about him.

To "just wondering," I thought that was a possibility except for the "This isn't going to end well." That's a quote. It doesn't sound like the other interpretations several of us have pondered since this was posted. That sounds like The End is coming and it won't be pretty.

A trial baloon is possible, but that's not using Clutch's good offices very well, or with much respect, IMO. Heck, this is all pretty crazy. So Holmes, what's going to happen?? ;)

let the man play. the more he says he's ready and the more he doesn't play, outside parties will step in and investigate and every side will look bad.

if you don't want him, tell him to stay home and wait for the trade.

From Jonathon Faigan's tweeter - Rockets team Doc Walter Lowe: McGrady will be evaluated "over the coming weeks." Doesn't sound as if he is playing anytime soon.

If I remember correctly, I remember JVG's policy on star players was not to inhibit them in any way, to let them do their thing. In fact, didn't JVG surround TMac with players who simply played role's around him, and that didn't really work.

Adelman seems tied to the idea of ball movement etc... kinda different.

Not saying positive or negative, just what I recall.

I don't think you can truly say JVGs method didn't work.

The guy took us to a game 7 against a tough Utah Jazz team.

Most teams that have stars do build around them, and treat them respectfully. Any team thats won a title has a star or multiple stars, and roleplayers around them.

If Adelman doesn't want to play T Mac then he should go.

If he can't take a great talent like T Mac and make this team better then he is just being closed minded.

    Come home JVG.

adelman may not want to play tracy for how tracy disrespected him last year (announcing the injury before to him), but a good coach will use a good player if that player helps the team.

if tracy does show he's capable of getting back to his old self (elson turner says he can with just a "couple" if real games), then you have to play him. if adelman does hold a grudge, it's pretty childish.

i don't think adelman is that type of individual. he coaches to win games. if tmac is healthy and ready to go and he is still a rocket, he'll play.
