that's a major part of the problem with Tmac. it's stupid for him to fail to comprehend how his spat with the management would DEFINITELY raise a stink in the media.

for the record, he's right in insisting he play if he feels he's ready but he needs to be less childish and realize that the team's first priority is not him. he's probably genuine in his assertion that he's ready but he's childish if he doesn't realize that the team might not want him and would rather collect insurance money or might prefer to keep him sidelined and try to deal him

Assume Tmac is right and let's argue that he IS ready. let's say that Les IS screwing him for money and Morey has written him off. let's say all of Tmac's darkest fears are true... he's still STUPID for being aggravated with the media or being upset that the Rockets are treating him like an asset in a business operation. this is the same problem Tmac has had all along. it's not all about him. and even if all those things are true Tmac can solve this simply by DELIVERING on the court when they do play him. talk is cheap. emotions are cheap.

Oops. Then I'll apologise for butting in. Sorry.

Slick of you to appreciate Rocket Raccoon, but I'm more of a Rocky Raccoon guy actually.

damn T-mac i feel you man, but it's all about the money...but you can tell that the coach and the GM don't want him back with this team, it's kind strange though, isn't it ???

He says he has no interest. Does not mean he would not take orders from Les. ;)
It's getting interesting at least. Tracy can prove at practice. I think that 'Who needs practice' thing won't roll.

PS: Y'all can speculate all you want. This is nothing new. Adelman already said he will not considering playing him. As of now.

Lol. Don't overreact. That means there's a possibility he'll return.

I don't care how you "feel"...you don't just get thrown back in to the rotation. You have to prove yourself to your coaches, teammates and organization in multiple PRACTICES before you can even think about being put back out on the court again. To think (much less, suggest) otherwise is just stupid on his part. But then again, this is just part of who he is...very immature.

Because I watched the interview. You really think there's a chance he said those things based on how the rest of the questions/answers went? He looks pissed off....you don't just go from mature professional to immature pansy prima donna in the span of a media session. You are who you are.

so they're delaying his return to get more insurance money?
    that's the sole purpose?

To me it appeared perhaps Tracy wanted to say something but did the professional thing and answered fairly PC. With the exception of the cursing of course. He feels he's ready so I'd play him, not major minutes, but enough to get a idea of whats going on. Adelman probably dislike Tracy, and Mac in return probably doesn't have Rick on his Christmas card list. But hopefully(if shady things are going on) everyone can stop acting like children and this gets sorted quickly.

it's still vague. No interest in playing t-mac can mean that he simply doesn't think T-mac is ready to play basketball here or anywhere.

That's the official word from Adelman, and judging from his history as a coach, he's not the type to stonewall or come up with excuses. He's tight-lipped at times, but he's not the type to have personal issues.

I mean, look at all the personalities he's coached. Prima donna's are not foreign to him and he seems to work with them ok.

Wasn't he let go from Sacramento because of some personality conflicts between him and the owners?
