If Yao ming does become a star, will "away" fans use racism to keep his morale down?

Carrol Dawson has said in many interviews the Ming speaks very good English.

i'm pretty sure he will. cuz if cato does another sleep walking job on the court, i think he will start far and away...as in far and away in the Euro leagues.

and btw...i do like how you try to use the same joke i did. thanks.

Sorry Catoins...your joke was pretty weak actually.

It was about as funny and appropriate as your sig. I'm surprised you haven't been warned about it already...who wants to have a racial epithet run through their head every time they read one of your posts?

Actually, I thought both jokes were funny.

I'm sure Yao will be on the receiving end of a lot of racial slurs from fans and probably players as well. What's more, it'll probably be pretty foreign to him (unless they do that a lot in international games?). I think the question is how he'll react to it. A Reggie Miller type personality would get mad and score 50. A Maxwell type would deck someone. A Pippen type would refuse to go into the game for the final shot. A Duncan type would seem to not even notice and put up his 25 and 10. We'll have to wait and see how he reacts to it.

Hey buddy, so you have sneaked out of the institute again to post in this forum. Is there a man hunt out there for you right now?

WTF are you talking about dude? You damn right I boo when the starters for the opposing teams are announced? You dont? I'm guessing most of the fans are like you at the laptop then. You guys all suck!

By the way I hate flopping so playing dirty to win would suck.

I don't know about anybody else but I prefer to take a section of the newspaper and rastle it in front of my face when the opponent's are introduced. After that I'll put the newspaper away and pay attention.

Apollo Creed, what the hell are you talking about. You need to go back to Siberia and track Ivan Drago and his new winter fling, Lisa Malsakoy.

And Cato Institute, you flew over the cuckoos nest one too many times, dude.

In the movie.."Mystery, Alaska" the fans all had newspapers and when the Rangers were introduced, they all held up their papers in front of their faces and were totally silent. It was hilarious...the Rangers were not used to being ignored during the intros.....I think thats a good idea for Rox games...It takes energy to boo players..I say, don't even give them your energy it takes to boo....Ii think we should all turn our backs on the opposing lineups as they are being introduced...
