(I don't think McGrady will be immediately activated. Probably won't be too much longer. I do think Yao will get back to that level. The Rockets became much more optomistic about his chances after his doctors' visits and surgery than before. -- Jonathan)
whats that supposed to mean? lol people could misunderstand that lol.... wouldnt be anything new though
The worst thing would be to keep us all guessing for weeks and weeks still. Regardless of the outcome, let's all hope for a prompt resolution to this mess.
imagine if they both came back within the all star break. And we made a massive push for the playoffs with a fresh mcgrady and yao ming
yeah , i don't understand what is going on . it seems to me that adelman seems reluctant to put mcgrady on the floor
So now he won't come back during November even possibly December? RA clearly doesn't want him on this team, and the drama continues.
I don't know that you can say RA doesn't want him on his team. Of course he would want a 7-time all star at his disposal to help him win a few games and help get that contract extension he's after. I think it's just that RA is a very procedural person, which is fair enough especially in situations like this. He wants T-Mac to demonstrate to him he's ready in practise, T-Mac probably thinks he's above having to prove himself in practise. RA probably just wants to treat Tracy the same way he treats everyone else. We all know RA won't play players who haven't proven to be deserving in practise and on the defensive end. It's probably just a stand off right now because Tracy thinks he should be able to decide when he is ready, but RA is trying to be fair to everyone else by putting Tracy through the same procedures as everyone else would go through. I'm sure we'll see him on the court soon and then probably traded at the deadline.
If he goes through a full practice and looks to be in decent shape today then i dont want to hear any more excuses regarding him not playing.
I'm with Adelman all the way. I think the expectation is McGrady will have to demonstrate readiness both mentally and physically before getting playing time. I could see Adelman pulling the hair-trigger benching or DNP coach's decision if having him on the floor impedes the team's progress in any way. The organization has got to be thinking if the post Yao/McGrady era were today the Rockets would be looking pretty good.
So the MRI which was slated on 23rd November, that is Today, will be carried out with nothing staying in its way to procrastinate?
The appointment for his back was scheduled on Sunday, but they decided to move to Monday. The same day as his MRI.
Expect TMac to get the same treatment that SF3 got. A lot of time on the bench. A lot of DNP Coaches decision and waiting for an injury or someone like Chase to hit a wall before getting playing time. At that time he will have to produce or get a quick hook...just like SF3 did when he was here.
He would have to be at the same level Francis was at to justify that kind of treatment. I do not want a star level player getting DNP's just so that the organization can prove a point. Develop Chase Budinger? What? His ceiling is an NBA starter. If McGrady is healthy then the Rockets should play him. Francis was clearly washed up, hence the scrub treatment. If Mac isn't washed up, then there will be no reason not to play him.
