Moes I think you should take it easy on tinman. He trolls sometimes...but for the most part, he trolls for the forces of good (90's rockets, bbs history, street fighter II)

Save your hatred for the trolls on this board who aren't even Rockets fans but just come here to spew their garbage. They either think they are making a difference being a keyboard warrior (delusional) believe what they're saying (stupid) or are just trying to get a rise out of people (sad and pathetic)

    Well you're partially right.

tinny does contribute to the board, and to his credit he was off the Tmac bandwagon early on.

He is a ridiculous personality, and I as a Queen drama-w**** find it insulting to my diamond tiara.

I'm beginning to suspect the entire institution of "marriage" is just some sort of reputation-based scam.

Let the gays be "married," if that's what they really want.

I cannot top that. No, sir, I can never top that.

It doesn't matter where you live to be a Hip Hop head. However, I would question anyone who is a fan of Soulja Boy, New Boyz, Lil Mama, Curtis Jackson or claims that the new Black Eyed Peas stuff is true hip hop.

IF you know your history, that's always a plus. If you live for the next Drake cd, gtfo!

    :)

    PS...Slaughterhouse CD is awesome.

    Tinman:

Everyone on this board is now a little dumber thanks to this poll.

I mentally vomit in your direction. Please never post again.

See that's perfect. Tribe is timeless. Q-Tip's new joint is good, too.

Never known race to be an issue in what music a person listens to. I'm black, I went to a Devin the Dude show a few years back in a "hood" area and was in the minority. Go figure.

Devin Tha Dude is nice. "Anythang" and "What a Job" are two of my favorites.

I would think the majority of the mainstream hip hop audience is rich, white suburban kids.

Ah, a "basso, the Human Being" sighting! ;)

Thanks. That brought back some memories! An outstanding C.T.A. video, when one considers that it was recorded in a BBC studio, was lost for 30 years, and still sounds pretty damn good. Chicago Transit Authority, or Chicago, as they later became known, were a terrific group, kind of hard to pigeon hole in the rock pantheon. I saw them at least half a dozen times, probably more. They were frequently one of 3 or 4 groups playing a "large" venue (the Music Hall or the Sam Houston Coliseum), and the top tickets were always $5 bucks and as cheap as $3. They weren't considered "cutting edge," but I really liked them, having very eclectic tastes. A large group that had some outstanding musicians.

As for the thread, I'm not a hip hop fan, except for a few things I enjoyed on the radio. I couldn't even say who they were. And I like Moes and Tinman both, so I'll sit back and enjoy the fun. Thanks again, basso. I wish there were a lot more videos from back then, of even decent quality. All of these groups typically sounded fantastic live and, sadly, few were captured with any fidelity.

Do you have to reply with some type of hip hop video in every thread?

If you are a frequent poster on this BBS it's pretty much, it pretty much guarantees you got no street cred.
