I've noticed that so far, in the 1st half the rockets have played well. However in the 3rd quarter they are almost always outscored by double digits. They have too many turnovers, and sometimes they dig themselves into such a deep hole, that in the 4th they cant get themselves out. Last year i recall the 3rd quarter for us was exceptional, if not, strong. What's the cause of the breakdowns?
Usually what I see happening is this: Rockets come out strong and move the ball well, defenses arent prepared for the movement and hustle the Rockets bring. Opposing teams usually make adjustments during halftime and fatigue begins to set in after the prolonged motion, thus our lead diminishes. Rockets finally catch a second win and adjust to opposing teams adjustment and come away with the win.
Rockets have trouble ending the half also, and it leads to 3rd quarter runs to start the second half.
I think the last minutes of the 4th quarter maybe more of a concern...we have almost been i all of them within the last 4 minutes of a game
can we please look up the actual numbers before starting a thread? Last game atl outscored us by one, minny by 5, we outscored Phoe by one, outsocred LA by 9, outscored Sac by 6, outsocred memphis by 12, and so on.....it's ONE game, tonight. It's not a consistent problem at all right now.
