I always enjoyed Popeye's posts. I took them, as all others, with a grain of salt. His departure, although a change, will not make this a better site. If we are afraid to say things because they might piss people off, why bother? Popeye, if it is to a far, far better place you go, take me with you. Jeff, I hold all you guys with the highest regards, but I don't think its in the best interest of this BBS to give a "big brother" view of the admins. Most of the people who come here use dialup accounts which use random IP addresses. You can track the IP address of computers which use a dedicated line, like I do, but since most people use dialup, you can only guess at such things. I guess if the Rockets are using a dedicated line, you could tell, but I don't want all the posters out here to think you guys are able to track down their computers. Thanks again for all your hard work. I love this site. We'll get through this one, and be better for it, although I hope Popeye comes back too, as I'm sure you guys also do. ------------------ the more I know, the more I know I don't know...
DREAMer: How do I get out of the "going to hell" scenario? Well, since I don't believe in the existence of hell, I guess it doesn't matter. As for the "BBS as Big Brother." I only track IP addresses of people who are of key interest to me. NO ONE else anywhere! The Rockets are definitely of interest to me so I track their visits and NO I don't know players' IP's.
