isnt he the one that got mad and didnt want to play at the end of a blowout game. and the rockets waived him after the game and just left him in denver(i think it was denver)
He is the one who fell on Steve in preseason last year. The quote from Steve was "It got dark, real fast". Still my favorit Steve quote. BTW, a good example of has the body, but not the game.
I would say that's backwards. Hambone has some skills. If he lost 100lbs he could be an elite player.
That definitely is T-Ham. I stayed a bit after the Rockets' game vs. the Grizzlies to check how big this guy is now. The PA announcer at the Summer League announced him at 7'3" 400 lbs. He was big, but didn't look 400 lbs. big. That is one huge human. I left the building after I saw him, so I didn't watch him play.
Classic example of why shaq is underrated. Everyone always wants to say how much bigger and stronger Shaq is, but the truth is, there have been guys who were just as big and probably just as strong as shaq is but aren't nearly the caliber of player Shaq is. Thomas Hamilton, Preist Lauderdale, Stanley Roberts, Jerome James, hell you can even throw in guys who weigh 280lbs like McCulloch, Ostertag, Longley to name a few that were big and strong but didn't get to the level that Shaq is. I've said it on more than a few occassion that Hamilton in his brief tenure with the Rockets, you could see all of the untapped talent he had despite the weight problems. He had long arms, huge hands, was a mountain of a man and had a good basketball iq, but he still doesn't get it with the weight issue. If I were a team that is suppose to be a contender in the west like say Portland,Minn,Dallas or someone like that that wanted to have an extra body in the playoffs or play 20 mins per night, i would give him a shot. When you have Rasho,Bradley or Raef, Dale Davis manning the pivot and you know you have to go through Shaq, its worth a shot.
