He has no energy,no focus,no efforts. everyone can tell that after the match with hawks.
I think rockets manager team made a wrong deal in this summer.

I think Battier is just as much of a problem as Ariza, they're both passing on open looks which is not something Adelman is wanting

Ariza is learning along with the rest of the team...please cut him some slack. Also didn't he defend Joe Johnson into a crucial traveling and overall held him down in the 4th? With time Trevor will be fine and when he can be a 3 or 2 scorer he will excell. SAYING THAT he needs to stop trying to dribble and trying to create so much, he should be moving, getting open and slashing to the bucket more.

Ariza just needs to have another 2 or 3 who can play beside him.

Ariza is fine for what he is being paid.
    And to quote a philosopher.

Didn't he have 3 steals on Kobe the other night?

Wait..wait, isn't he our leading scorer?

Top 5 in the NBA in steals?

I mean, it's not like this is his first opportunity in a TEAM LEADING POSITION.

    OH WAIT NOW I REMEMBER!

Ok first of all, when we signed the guy you should have known he isn't a creator and is a major role player. Ironically, he would have flourished with Yao last season.

Brooks was just as bad as him today.

Please, all he's doing wrong right now is not hitting his shots.

When we signed him, we didn't get a dribble penetrator that can create his own shots. We signed a long, athletic defender, a slasher, and a guy who can stretch the court.

Just because he's can't fulfill his new roles necessitated by the injuries our best 2 players doesn't make him a "problem". Let's keep things in perspective now, Ariza was never asked to do 80% of the stuff he's doing right now when he was with the Lakers.

Ariza just needs to stop trying to create his own shot, and to take good, wide open shots when he gets them. His defense is great and is leading to easy points and turnovers, but he just needs to stop trying to dribble his way through 4 players to then put up a circus shot and a traveling up and under.

I think steals definitely add to you being considered a great player/defender.

Oh, and I think you mean 'do.'

Are you actually watching the games or just looking at the boxscore?? The problem with Ariza is that he is being forced to create for himself and his teammates which is his biggest weakness.

He is not particularly athletic, his defense has been average at best, and I have yet to see him "slash"
