Mcgrady needs to play. It's as simple as that. Mcgrady has been part of the Rockets organization for nearly half a decade, he's always played when healthy, and has even tried to play while nursing an injury. Mcgrady has proven over his career that he's one of the best when healthy. Now he deems himself 100 percent and ready to play.Mcgrady even dressed himself out for the Timberwolves game, he WILLINGLY dressed out to show he was ready. Last year people would whine and complain when he would sit out a game or two without a specific reason. Now he's 100 percent and ready to play and we don't want him to ? The Rockets can't afford to have Mcgrady calling the general manager, and owner out. This makes the organization look bad in the public eye, and further hurts our chances of signing free agents in the future. Since when has the organization become to good for Mcgrady ?
He did, I was totally unaware he was capable of such a task If that doesnt prove it to RA nothing will !
From the standpoint I see right now it looks like the organizations fault. Mcgrady has been rehabbing for months. He declared himself ready to play and even dressed out. Why isn't he playing ?
I don't like the fact that it is ANOTHER T-Mac thread but he deserves a chance to at least attempt a come back.
WOW...I've never seen so many threads about the same topic lol I'll leave the business side of things to Morey and RA as they've shown to know what there doing. If Tracy is healthy and can help put him out there or trade him but if he is not healthy and they can confirm it then NO let him get healthy before just sending him out on the court.
How do you know he is 100% ready while Morey and Adelman said no? everybody deserves to play, Dorsey, Cook, JT, .....but when the coach said no, you don't calling **** out no matter how you deserves.....will ever TMAC be an adult?
Because this isn't exactly the first time he's declared himself ready to play from an injury, perhaps, and more like the ..... what number are we on with McGrady declaring himself back anyways? 5th? 10th?
He declared himself ready and able to play last year... for every other game... until he declared himself ready for surgery...
TMac is helping the team by not playing right now. He let the young guys on the team to build chemistry and get a system done without disrupting them. He is also more valuable as a trade asset when insurance cover his pay check. He doesn't deserve anything until he has proven that he can play at a high level consistently at practice. Obviously RA saw him practice and doesn't believe he is ready.
It's a money decision plain and simple. The team wants Tracy back in the league, but no one wants him in a situation where he is feeling healthy now, but is back on the injured list 20 games later. That could cost the team one million dollars for every 4 games he doesn't play after he comes back too early. Does this make sense? Right now, every game they collect 250,000 dollars for Tracy not playing. Let's say he plays 10 games and gets hurt for the rest of the season, we don't get that 250,000 dollars a game until 41 games have passed again. Why is this so difficult for Tracy or any fan to understand? Waiting has a much larger payoff both in money and in the quality of Tracy's play.
Nobody just deserves to play. You earn PT by following the coach's and upper management instructions.
He declared himself ready without any tests, no examination. He is not qualified to test himself. Last year he thought he could play and look where that went. Tracy makes good decisions with the ball in his hand, but his health is not in his hands, hence, him acting all weird and controversial. The man is a control freak that has no control right now.
No one just deserves to play. You earn your minutes... period. If you are not good enough to beat out who is already on the floor, and if you do not make the team better by being on the floor you sit your ass on the bench... period.
