Hey ! I'm looking for software that will allow me to , via the MIDI, connections on my synthesizers, play music "into" my computer AND burn it w/ my CD burner. Anybody know if this exist & what it is? Jeff? anyone?
cson: Technically, you don't record audio through your MIDI outputs of your keyboard. Your keyboard sends MIDI messages via the output and the computer records those messages but not the actual sounds. To get the sounds into the computer from your keyboard, you'll need a sound card or some type of audio interface. There are tons of software packages on the market that can take it from there, but you should decide first exactly how you want to approach the recording. Are you just recording MIDI and using it to sequence your machines (keyboards, drum machines, etc) or are you actually recording audio onto your hard drive?
Thanks ya'll. My computer has a sound card & a cd burner, just recently noticed (when I moved) that it has MIDI ports and was unsure If/how there is some way to "record" my own audio cds from my synths.
