Lucky for Jackson he gets to play for another over the hill white coach who doesn't tend to get along with egos.
damn, you too man? i feel yah. i kinda regret taking him but he was the best sg/sf option i had at the time. he now has pf elgibility but its not like it matters much. im sure he'll still get his 20 shots a game...=|
I thought Captain Jacko wanted to play for a contender. How isn't he fighting this kicking and screaming?
Any team was better than GS for Stephen. Nelly really made life bad for him somehow. Though I can't think of many teams worse than the Bobcats for him to go to. He'll get lots of shots?
Atlanta never gave him any playing time thanks to Mike Bibby. Warriors' Nelson never gave in any playing time... I'm not sure why... Hopefully the Bobcats make Acie a backup PG to Raymond Felton. I really miss watching Acie Law play back in the day during his Texas A&M years. He was something to watch... ultimate clutch player... unfortunately, none of these coaches want to play him...
Not to derail this thread but Law was riding the pine long before Bibby was even in the picture. He has no range on his shot therefore his opponents just play off of him. He has the first step and ability to attack the basket needed to succeed, but instead he plays timidly and with little confidence. He sucks. I'm sorry if you're a fan of his but I follow the Hawks closely and he's been a complete disappointment. Jeff Teague is supposed to be everything that he is not.
He was traded earlier enough to be traded again and this saved the bobcats money. I think cleveland is still going to make a play for him. I wouldve taken AA and Bell for Battier. That wouldve cleared Battiers 7m for the next 2 yrs.
I'm having a really hard time deciding who wins this trade.......strange since normally I'd normally have this instant reaction of the winner and loser in a trade.. having a feeling the trade is better for the Warriors...they dodged a bullet with this one........
Raja Bell's contract expires after this year, and Radman's the year after. It's not too bad for the Warriors; they got rid of a player who was a locker room distraction and obviously wanted out (ala tmac in orlando). Looking at the team they have, I wonder if Don Nelson will ever teach his players to play defense. They've definitely got a lot of talent offensively but they just don't play hard consistently like the Rockets do, and aren't committed on defense.
Apparently the warriors are actively looking to trade Monta Ellis. Looks like they're going to blow up the team and rebuild for the next 10 years.
Damn, the Bobcats might have the largest collection of overpaid players in the league with this trade. Look at how many bloated contracts they have with Tyson Chandler, Nazr Mohammed, SJax, Boris Diaw and Diop. Even Felton is making 4 mill a year despite being borderline mediocre. At least the other lottery teams are saving up capspace. That organization is really close to the cap despite being a joke. The irony is all that mediocre talent they're paying will end up giving them enough wins to always end in the upper half of the lottery, and no chance at a real superstar who can turn their franchise around.
Bay Area radio is all over the Warriors, and especially Don Nelson. People want him gone but the team still owes him $11M over the next couple of seasons, so the thinking is that they are all stuck with one another. Would not be surprised if Ellis is shipped next.
I took a picture with Capn' Jack today!! He's a real cool dude. Apparently the bobcats was practicing at my schools' gym today after the lose to the sixers yesterday.
