Crawford doesn't like Scola, I've seen too many bad calls go against Luis. Is Joey jealous of the long hair?

yes he did but both times ariza was tripped which caused the travel I would have rather have had the trip be called because:

    1) the first time it would have been on Amare his fifth and Ariza to the line for FTs instead of throwing up a out of control shot

    2) back to the line again for FTs instead of a out of control shot

So that no call actually HURT the rockets more than anything.

He seems to hate Landry too. We should put Brian Cook in next time and have him take Crawford out.

Crawford is the NBAs enforcer. He make sure things go the way the powers-that-be want them to go to maximize profits. ;-)

all these old refs should retire. we need young refs.

Crawford sucks. Landry had those two BS fouls in like 20 sec at the end of the game. Watch next game we will have to deal with Violet.

As of the 2006-07 NBA season, Crawford has worked more playoff (266) and NBA Finals games (38) than any other active referee in the league and has appeared in the Finals every year since 1986.

You can't blame it entirely on the officials. The reason we lost 5 games is that we didn't play well in those games.

However, I do agree that Crawford should not be an NBA official.

It's obvious he has affinities toward certain players and has disdain for others (scola).

This should be unacceptable for a referee, and it's laughable that the NBA officially recognized this with his disdain for Duncan - and still allows him to officiate games.

Crawford screws up many games for many teams - I don't think any team is really thrilled when they find out Crawford is officiating because they know he is a game "manager" and not a true referee.

He's notorious for making calls when he's the furthest official away from the action - which, again, should be phased out from the game.

Overall, Crawford is a bad official, and no teams like it when he's in the game.

The Rocket's 5 losses this season are not because of bad officiating, but bad ball movement, defensive lapses, turnovers, bad shots.

Isn't strange that every game Yao has played in with Joey Crawford for the past two seasons?

That he always ends up with at least 4 fouls and is averaging near 5 with Crawford as one of the refs.

The Rockets would probably have one the title last year, if we didn't have Crawford as referee in any of our games.

FOr Joey's own sake, he should thank God, he's never had to referee a game in Hackleburg or a fan like that.

So if Crawford didn't ref our games we would have won the title? BS

Did we lose every game he officiated where Yao got in trouble? Did you check which other refs were doing those games with Joey, did you see if we were playing a legit big man for Yao to guard? And did you see if they actually were fouls on Yao?

You can't just say we would have one the title without Mac and Yao. And like an earlier poster said, Joey has done every finals for the last 20 years or so. So he would have done our games in the finals which you think we wouldnt win anyways with him reffing.

I think Crawford sucks consistently for all NBA games. Since he's consistent, the NBA says he's one of their best. That garbage he pulled on Duncan a few years back was a joke.

Maybe since we are in the same state as Duncan, he makes it a point to screw us out of spite. Someone ask the Mavs fans if Crawford sucks for them too.

Crawford didn't lose the game for us last night. Our inability to score in the 4th and our spotty defense in the 4th did us in.

If the Rockets read Joey Crawfords wiki page, they would have realized we didn't have a chance. :) but yeah.. the guy has an ego and likes to be "the man" something is fishy about that guy.

Here's from his wiki.. hehe somebody was having some fun.

    2009 NBA Playoffs
Joseph "Fixy" Crawford is at it again during Game 2 of the Western Conference Semifinals, ensuring the Los Angeles Lakers split their first two home games with the Houston Rockets. The signature moment of the game becomes the whistle Fixy blows, aparently calling a foul on Ron Artest for throwing his throat at Kobe Bryant's elbow. When Artest protests the call, he is quickly ejected from the game. Crawford is known for his quick whistle blowing. He's a little b****.
