What songs would you select to play over the PA system during breaks in the action during Rocket games? I would go to the players and allow them to pick (clean of course) songs that got them hyped and gave the other team a little dig. Some of the music they play now has got to drive the players crazy. I'd pick a little home town flavor and go with Geto Boys "My mind is playing tricks on me" (radio edit)
Busta Rhymes song "Dangerous" would be perfect for our team this season during pre-game warm-up or during player introductions for the Home team.
They should play "Bow Down" Ice Cube By the way, King Fu Fighting would be a great song to play. Might upset some people though.
After a big play by the Rockets causing a time-out -- DMX "Ruff Riders Anthem" or Black Moon "Ya know I got cha open"
What is wrong with Tone Locs "Wild Thing"? I mean, they have only been playing it over and over since about, I don't know, 89. Actually, I am glad you brought this up. I have been wondering about the music selections in the Summit/Compaq for a very long time... Ive got one suggestion, but it's primarily for the corpses Houston calls "fans". What, you mean nobody wants to keep song they've used for the past 10 years for intros?: "ba ba, ba da da da da, ba ba, ba da da da da, ya'll ready for this!" followed by the old pre-jump favorite: "Cris Cross'll make ya, jump! jump!" I pray every night that they burn these tracks before they move into the new building... maybe a nice Enya tune to get everyone in the mood.
2 seasons ago they had their own theme songs after the scored. Steve had "he did that." Cat had "Shake it fast" Mooch had some oldies song The PA said "Hey Mo" after mo t scored. I wish Cato had a "DOO" after he screws up. (You nkow the do homer simpson does. )

Night Fever if Moochie still has the afro. Canon in D when Francis and Mobley come into the game together. Kung Fu Fighting for Shaq vs. Ming(shaq might laugh). Sittin' On the Dock of the Bay for Cato. Workin' Man Blues for Kenny T. Sweet Emotion for Rice and of course Smooth Operator for Eddie Griffin (*Note none of these should actually be used, but getting rid of Homer's "doh" would be a good thing)
Actually I would play classic funk songs. When ever I hear "Get down tonight" by K.C. and the Sunshine band it reminds me of the '95 Champ year because that song was played in the beer commercial where the ants get the beer bottle down the ant hole. Remember that one? I think classic funk songs fit a class team. Plus, who could complain? I dig The Hives reference though... MR.M
