I am a lousy writer too. I wasn't complaining about your grammar. I just thought consider C-bud for a dunk contest spot sounds better.
I don't understand why so many people think Chase is some great dunker. He's got an above average vertical (NBA standards) which gets offset by his average hangtime. His dunks are nice but it's not anything mind blowing. Certainly not gonna impress anyone in a dunk contest especially at his height.
He has the athleticism to be in the contest but I don't think he has the creativity.. Everything has pretty much been done as far as dunks go.. Gotta have props like carrot top or a name like Lebron to win. Id like to see him in the 3 point contest though.
At the moment, sadly there's no competing with Brandon Jennings. If he can play at that high level for most of the year he could be considered mvp material as well. 25, 5, 5 is just too good for a rookie, who at the same time is making his team A LOT better.
I just want his incredible shooting touch to come back; just about the only way he is making baskets right now is point blank. I don't know what he is doing wrong, but in the Summer Leagues and the PreSeason he couldn't miss. Now he is very streaky. His mechanics are off.
Unless James White was in it and showed the world who the real best dunker is. You can't do 1 dunk to win the dunk contest. You need a pretty good arsenal. He actually reminds me of Jason Richardson while dunking. J-Rich isn't that quick either but just gets up really high. I think Budinger could compete but probably wouldn't be the favorite.
No I would not! I haven't seen anything like the dunks required for such a contest. Although Budinger might develop this ability and be ready in a year or two!
