He's DaDakota. Mostly everyone here has an opinion about him because he's so opinionated. Personally I respect that about him though I don't agree with all of his outspoken thoughts. I think that for the most part he's a pretty charismatic decent guy who does go back on what he says at times, but is still a fellow rockets phile like the rest of us.
Because you posted like you had suffered DaDakota's peccadilloes for years, instead of since last March. I just find it a bit disingenuous to act the long suffering veteran of DD's tracts, when many of us are constantly reaching for the Valium, having hair fall out, watching wrinkles occur in the mirror, and generally have been beaten down to exhaustion from the fellow for years. To me, it appears to always be the same old story: you say something snide, someone calls you out for it, then you claim they're making it up or searching for something that's not there. It happens way too often for it to be always the case. I've laid off of you lately, as I've resigned to the fact that you simply don't realize what you're implying or how you come off when you say things, and I can't really blame you for it. It'd be like getting mad at the guy with OCD for arranging/cleaning his cubicle too often. See what I mean? I'll just add that say what you (the "royal you") like about DaDakota, he does bleed Rocket Red, like so many of us. For that, if nothing else, I respect him.
I think the main reason why DD gets so much flak isn't because he flipflops, it because he always acts like he doesn't (like how he always says he's correct 97% of the time etc). His attitude can be downright annoying esp. when he goes 180 degrees from one rant to the next without him realizing it. But IMHO the important thing is his heart is in the right place, and of course if DD weren't here there would be far less things to argue about. As to the OP, I don't really know what your beef with DD is, but if you got banned it isn't because of DD, its because you went over the line. I've never seen DD cuss someone even when others are attacking him on the board (good show, sir!), in fact he often deflects it into a joke when someone calls him out. Judging from your OP and the so-called "articles" in your links, you probably deserved it.
haha I like how alot of the posts in this thread rip DD for his shortcomings in the first half of the message then commend him for his passion in the second half. I'm not trying to call anyone out, I just think it's hilarious. People get a couple of shots in due to built up annoyance, then throw in a couple of respectable comments at the end haha
I really didn't want to post in this thread as I know it will only contribute to the glee Dada feels by having his ego inflated from all the attention he's getting. I mean, hasn't anyone not realized he's the biggest attention w**** on CF? San's his weird obsession with T-mac, Dada's definitely an entertaining poster. Little did I ever realize that Dada was also Clutch....Clutch the bear!
