i meant to make this poll. take this team to the playoffs, and compete play average ball, nothing impressive the coach with the best record will win
It's a travesty he did'nt win it last year. what he did despite all the on/off the court distraction was abnormal.
it seems like the coach with the best regular season wins it, rather than the coach who did the best with the players he had. a la adelman. really happy he's our coach. only if we had JVG as an assistant, as the defensive coach.
If we make the playoffs, obvious yes. I guess other candidates would be the Thunder's HC if they make it, the Kings if they can be close to .500, Bucks (even though the coach/GM should get credit for drafting Jennings), Suns HC if they get a high seed, Hawks and Heat HC if they continue this run.
Scott skiles and westpaul are two other candidates. but overall, i dont see there teams maintaining there current form over a 82 game season. both the bucks and kings are gonna drop off.
NO NO NO. The curse will only NOT occur when the coach of the year wins a championship as well. The last thing we need is a coach of the year without a championship.
No, hope not, almost every coach who gets coach of the year got fired within next couple of years after the award. I do not know why, but that is the fact.
hubie brown won coach of the year like 5 years ago didn't he. and they were only 5th seed or something in the west.
We make the playoffs with a nice seed and its a lock, make the playoffs as a 8th or 7th seed and he would be the front runner but not make the playoffs and be only competitive means he will get looked over again.
they give it to the runaway favorite or the underdog who brought the team out of nowhere (Doc Rivers in Orlando) or with little expectations (Adelman in Houston?)
