Surely he has to be close.

I think he has more than proven that last seasons playoff run was
    certainly no fluke.

Brooks = star of the league.

statistically he is. but he has to do this for more than just 10 games to be a star. he has to do this for a YEAR.

Hes still a little too streaky imo. If he can be a bit more consistant I would say yes.

Definitely too soon. But there's no doubt in my mind he will become one in the near future. Just hopes that he stays consistent for the whole season!

I think he's as much a star as Kevin Martin.

i think so. he's definitely better than sessions/mo williams right now and is probably top 10 pg in the league especially when it comes to offense.

the only better pgs are probably (in no order):
    d.rose
    j.kidd
    c.billups
    b.davis
    c.paul
    s.nash
    t.parker
    d.williams
g.arenas (does he still play PG?)

i'd rank brooks alongside rondo (great defensive pg, but isnt as good offensively as AB), andre miller (nice court vision, nice low post game, but still makes mistakes), and jameer nelson (good overall pg but cant take over a game like AB).

AB still needs to work on facets of his game to jump over those 3. still needs to work on breaking traps and start making good decisions when caught underneath the basket. defense is pretty ok.

definitely the star of the rockets along with scola. star of the league? not so much.

He's not even at Kevin Martin level yet. He needs to be more consistent. Being small, he's going to need to become an elite shooter or improve his finishing capabilities because he's not going to overpowering anyone soon.

Even though he improved his vision, Brooks is still far from a star.

Stars need to be more than one dimensional and consistent. Brooks doesn't do much else besides score and drive/kick. With his low assist/TO ratio, Brooks needs to shoot really well to have a positive impact on the court. Right now his shooting is still streaky.

Agree with your conclusion but there are more PGs better than AB.

Rondo is ahead of AB. He does so many things better than AB and his offense is not as bad as you think. 10ppg on 58% shooting, 8ast per game shows he's much smarter than AB come to team play.

Like it or not, Nelson is also better than AB, he took games over last season before injury more than AB did in his entire career.

And, ever heard of Brandon Jennings? I can't see how AB is better than him at this moment, 25,4,5 on 50% shooting as a rookie.

I don't see how J. Kidd or Baron Davis are a lot better than Brooks if they are better than him at all. Rondo on the other hand is quite a bit better than Brookes overall despite having a horrible shot.

Jameer Nelson was better last year but hasn't shown himself to be better this year, IMO. Devin Harris' team is 0-10

Not entirely true. The playoffs are where STARS are born. Jennings could be more of a starlet.

In the Princeton offense, Aaron Brooks sure looks like a star at times...

Believe it or not. He's got the better tools with Speed and athleticism. His decision making is still doubtful. He's undersized and so is AI.

Man, it's not like AB played like star in playoffs. 18assists/22TOs in a 7 game series is not something to be proud of as starting PG.

Jennings has played better than AB so far, it's just a fact.

i agree with you too if we look at it that way. but i see rondo on a team loaded with hall of famers while AB's on a team of role players and theyre both averaging 8 assists per game (well, AB averaged almost 8 assists in the first few games, its down to 6 now). and if youre playing with a bunch of hall of famers, it's easy to get wide open shots. we cant compare AB to rondo's defense as most of that's due to height. he looks better than AB but he has holes in his game the same way that AB has holes in his. that's why i rank em the same.

jameer was good before his injury, but im talking about now. AB was amazing in the playoffs last year too and has been amazing this season as well. right now, theyre almost the same statwise. that's why id say theyre on the same level right now.

havent heard of jennings until that 55pt game he had. but still, he's a rookie. and he's with the bucks. sessions was amazing when he was with the bucks, but at look at him now. but i have to agree that what jenning's doing is pretty impressive as a rookie. but im sure if AB looked to score more he'd be averaging more than him.

I said "what?" because I have no idea what "he's definitely better than sessions/mo williams right now" is supposed to mean, or what relevance it has to anything. It literally does not compute. Did somebody at some point claim that "sessions/mo williams" are better than Brooks?

It's about passion, about making plays down the stretch, putting the ball into the hoop in the waning moments, owning Fisher big time.
Jennings is on a good way but the season is long.
