"We had a some recent wins and some recent losses. On the bright side, however, Steve Francis has had some great games and carried the team through a bunch of tough times. I think it's a two-man race between him and Elton Brand for the Rookie of the Year. Obviously, anyone that has seen him play knows what a great talent he is and, as the years come, he's going to just keep getting better and better. He'll do things that people just won't be able to believe. He definitely has my vote for Rookie of the Year; I've got to stick with my teammate over Elton. Although we're kind of struggling as a team, he's carried us into the win column a bunch of times, and he's been pretty consistent for most of the year. Recently, there was some concern for Hakeem's health, suggestions that he should probably stop playing until his doctors could get a clear picture of his health. Obviously, we'd be disappointed if Hakeem would have to stop playing because we all like playing with him and he helps out the team. But, health is the most important thing. Hopefully, he'll be able to feel better soon and keep playing. As for the whole mic issue, I thought the coaches should have worn them because I don't think television stations are going to put on anything that's going to make the NBA look bad or the coaches look bad. They're definitely going to censor everything so I think the players made a bigger deal of it than what it was. The NBA was trying to do something positive and players made something negative out of it. Who knows, though, I'm sure the NBA and the players will decide something in the off-season. ------------------ humble, but hungry.
