You rarely post in the Hangout, but as soon as a UT bashing thread shows up, sure enough, we can count on our own UT hater to show up. Not pathetic or anything, just expected. Little mans syndrome much?
refute the points, friend. Remember, if you have to resort to personal insults, you've lost any kind of argument.
LOL at trying to trash UT to make up for Rice's historical football issues. I thought there was an unusually big crowd on Kirby today, I was thinking... perhaps Houston was celebrating Rice's enormous victory over Tulane, but.... buy one get one free cheeseburger Sunday @ McDonalds. Sorry Texxx. Nobody cares.
I don't get why Longhorns are defending this. I honestly do not hate the Longhorns, but I don't get why fans are willing to look past repeated run-ins with the law. It is an embarrassment to the school, and it should not be tolerated. Don't make excuses, these men are getting a free ride to a school that most (probably including yourself) had to pay out of pocket for, and they are making UT look bad. And before you start taking shots at me for being jealous of Longhorns, I was offered a full ride to UT, and I chose to go elsewhere.
So I just did a quick google search and, gasp, it seems that Texas isn't the only school with criminal issues. In fact, most high profile football schools have them. Florida Alabama Penn State USC Boise State Ohio State LSU Oklahoma Oklahoma State Georgia Tech Nebraska Georgia South Carolina Tennessee ...and the list goes on... So in short, it seems that every school has these problems. Or, you can just say this means nothing and Mack is the devil. Again, I am not defending this and I would not mind if Monroe never suited up again. And I am not saying it is okay for it to happen to us because everyone else is experiencing it, but for people to say this definitely has to do with Mack is absurd.
Bigtexxx, your whole argument that its mack's fault because he says it is is flawed. Of course the coach has to make a statement regarding his accountability, but that doesn't mean he can control his entire football team and make sure they are doing things of good character all the time. Thats like saying its the teacher's fault when a student flunks out for not studying.
lol hardly. He just provided a data dump of one-off examples. How many of those schools have the long-lasting consistency that UT-Austin has with the legal brushes?
Question - do you see no problem with the UT-Austin football program and its issues with the law? Would you say everything is A-OK?
