any gm with a head on his shoulders would be blowing up starburys blackberry. He could buy a lot of vasaline for a vet minimum. Plus who else could clean up the mess the answer left.

They dont know what they need. They'll just sign players to sign players.

Conley sucks. The hype he had around him was due to being Greg Oden's Gilligan. There are combo guards that have panned out--Wade, Rose, Arenas, Roy, etc. Then there are combo guards that are combo guards because they do neither (shooting and passing) particularly well but still manage to get PT somehow.

If Conley is as good as he was hyped to be, the Grizzlies wouldn't have bothered with Iverson this offseason.

    I don't think Conley's a crappy combo guard. He's definitely a crappy PG.

Well he's crappy period. His 3pt % is HIGHER than his FG % for Pete's sakes. Drafted 4th in 2007!? Ahead of Jeff Green, Joakim Noah, Thaddeus Young, Rodney Stuckey, or Al Thornton? This is another reason among many reasons why Chris Wallace sucks

Conley is an intelligent, if unspectacular, point guard. They shouldn't have drafted him because he didn't fit a team need at the team and wasn't the best player available, but he doesn't "suck."

See, Morey did indeed steal Grizzlies' better point guard in Lowry last year.

yeah and morey also took the best point guard in the same draft as conley with the 26th pick(Aaron brooks). I wonder if they were allowed to repick again who would have gone at the 4th?.

Best point guard in that draft is Rodney Stuckey, not Aaron Brooks.

Stuckey and Brooks are both SG being forced to play 1 essentially, except Stuckey has the size to play 2.

Yes he is. He's like Mayo-lite but with better height. To say he's better than Brooks is a stretch at this point, especially considering Brooks is carrying our team on offense while Stuckey hasn't done anything in Detroit yet.
