I got your reply via Castor. Burkett, Casey and Marquis are hardly bench players. Are you serious about trading him, or have you been wasting our time?
Behad, they are all currently on your bench. Marquis would be on my bench. Remember, THEY ARE ALL CURRENTLY ON YOUR BENCH.
Burkett and Marquis are on the bench SIMPLY BECAUSE THEY WERE NOT SCHEDULED TO PITCH. Burkett is Boston's #2 pitcher behind Martinez. He gets to start for me everytime he is scheduled to pitch. I just aquired Marquis, and Casey has Todd Helton in front of him. Let me ask again. You said Lowe was available. Email me with an offer. EDIT: Lowe has never pitched more than 123 innings in one season. He currently has 118. Whoever has him in the second half is assuming a big risk with him.
More on Lowe from ESPN: Is Lowe an overachiever or will he continue to post ridiculous stats in the second half? While the Red Sox hope and pray for the latter, Lowe's bound to hit a rough stretch sooner or later. With a patchwork staff beyond Pedro Martinez and John Burkett, the Sox will need Lowe to put up similar numbers in the second half to run with the Yankees. Don't overvalue Lowe or you will be stuck with him.
I don't overvalue lowe, but I am getting starter points listed as a releiver. Please dont tell me to overvalue something, you are coming off sounding like your preaching to me. Just because I dont accept your trade doesnt mean that I am being stupid. Id appreciate it if you talked to me on equal levels instead of acting like I am dumbass.
You make this too easy... If a pitcher starts a game, he is a starter and counts against starter game limits. It does not matter whatsoever where he is listed on the roster. So no, you are NOT getting starter points as a reliever. If you want to talk as equals, know the rules.
Ok, so I dont know one rule , I am not considered an equal? Oh please Mr. behad, enlighten me to your all knowing of Sandbox Baseball ways.
No, I have trouble seeing you as an equal for one reason... I have a son almost your age (one year younger), and to think he would try to consider himself an equal of mine is laughable. Look at the rosters. You have only 6 starters total, and you are in last place. You need dependable starters on a regular basis, not one Derek Lowe every five days. I'm offering two good ones in Burkett and Marquis, and would even toss in Dessens. That's a three starter for one trade. I need to cut back on starters per game, so I can afford it. It would take you to eight starters, so you could get back into the race. Edit: You only have 5 starters. I just saw Radke on your roster. 3 for 1 is a great deal.
Equal in intelligence overall: no Equal in intelligence in friggin fantasy sports : yes I am not interested in your trade right now, we can talk later.
Doubtful... I will be pursuing a #1 starter over the next few days. If you want to deal, you gotta do it now.
Oh come on, Drew, do be so thin skinned. It's the nature of this league. I wasn't serious, I was just trying to get a rise out of ya. It gets hot here, doesn't it?
