i wouldnt say that exactly, at least not if you're only considering lack of height, pops was only about 6'8
Sounds like insurance in case of an injury to Brooks or Lowry. Allows us to call up a PG from the D-league.
It does seem strange at the present time,since Les doesn't have to pay LT right away. Pops deserved a place on the team. A possible signing might be coming,a trade seems less likely.
They probably cut him to prevent having his contract guaranteed. I don't care about the move that much, he's low on the depth chart and easily replaceable. I bet they can still sign him later if they want, there's not going to be a huge line of teams waiting to sign Pops.
