If a trade, it means the target is better than Pops. Wow, I am psyched.

HoustonRockets From @dmorey: “Pops did a great job while he was here with us at the Rockets..." (to be continued)

HoustonRockets Continued: "This move is only being done to give us some roster flexibility in case of an injury or a potential call up from the RGVVipers."

HoustonRockets "With the way Coach currently has the rotation set up, this will also allow Pops an opportunity to explore options for more playing time.”

Dorsey went DL, Pop waived, so we're definitely adding a big right?

i wouldnt say that exactly, at least not if you're only considering lack of height, pops was only about 6'8

Could have to do with Pops' money becoming fully guaranteed by a certain date? Maybe maybe no?

Sounds like insurance in case of an injury to Brooks or Lowry. Allows us to call up a PG from the D-league.

It does seem strange at the present time, since Les doesn't have to pay LT right away. Pops deserved a place on the team. A possible signing might be coming,a trade seems less likely.

They probably cut him to prevent having his contract guaranteed. I don't care about the move that much, he's low on the depth chart and easily replaceable. I bet they can still sign him later if they want, there's not going to be a huge line of teams waiting to sign Pops.

Sounds like Pops complained for minutes or possible locker room issue.

Or they are just gonna stick with Hayes, Scola, Landry, & Andersen.

Probably complained. He's good and feels owed minutes.
