I live in the far, far, far east part of town...y'know, that part that spans the Gulf into Florida?

    Howdy neighbor!

I'm right at the borderline of Meyerland and Westbury, near the intersection of Chimney Rock and Willowbend.

I was raised in the Cy-Fair area as well... my parents still live there and whenever I go home (like this weekend to see my first game at Minute Maid Park!!!) I go home to the Cy-Fair area... for those that live there, what high school did you go to? I went to Cy-Falls.

I've got a cousin that lives in Pearland and he touts it as the "Next Sugarland" (I'm guessing he is referring to the Silver Lake area). And somewhat ironically, he used to live in Angleton.

I'm in Clear Lake...soon to be League City (Adios Harris County!).

    Missouri City....Quail Valley specifically

I hate Sugar Land as well. Missouri City/Sugar Land is a nice place and I'm glad to live there. But, there isn't anything to do. That's why I spend so much time in Inner Houston. I'm glad it's close!

There's too many bratty rich kids and their parents. It seems for the most part, the parents let their kids get away with anything while the mom, who doesn't know that her Expedition isn't a compact car, goes out for plastic surgery because she has nothing better to do while her husband is hard at work all day.

(Sorry about the ranting. I have lots of friends in this area who are nothing like this. However, I see too many people who are and it drives me crazy. They act like they're better than everyone else because they live in FIrst Colony.)

Across from the Dome on Fannin. It's a good location for the most part, but all the light-rail construction is driving me crazy.

I live in San Antonio these days, but when I lived in Houston it was in Montross back in the early 80s. You have no idea how many eggs were thrown at me by roudies in pick-up trucks when walking home from work (bartender). There were times I had to climb fences and scamble through back yards to stay healthy.

I learned to have my wife come by at closing so she could walk me home (damn, almost embarassed to say that). None the less, it stopped the eggs and the chasing.

Is Montross still known as a gay area and is it still artsie? You know, for all the grief living there caused me, it still is my favorite part of Houston...everything in walking distance from the casa, cool homes and stores.
