JVG would be good for them, if he let someone else run the offense.

He can just let Chris Paul do whatever he wants. No need to worry about offense. That kid is ridiculously good.

Really makes me wish we could take some of that off their hands.

The Hornets is just one more example that show you why management is at least, if not more, as important as the players and coaches in winning.

    lets see

a team with next to no salary flexibility to bring in other players

a bunch of players who are barely passable or downright horrible on D?

Yeah, I'm sure JVG is chomping at the bit to get his hands on that.

    <--- notice sarcasm smiley

That was my first thought when I heard him say that, and it appears to have some merit. He wanted out as much as they players do.

Morey pulls that off, and he is Jesus incarnate. Period.

Well, he already has put the franchise in a position where they can do something like that if they want, so he's already the equivalent of an Old Testament prophet.

This isn't going to solve anything. You fire your coach and replace him with the team's GM (who put together this underwhelming roster and has no head coaching experience). I don't see things getting better for the Hornets unless they make some significant roster moves.

Sounds like something the Knicks would do, doesn't it? Oh wait...

Wow, what's weird is that I was just telling my wife after their loss against the Lakers (without Gasol and Andrew) that Byron will be fired shortly.

Damn this has to hurt this is the second time Scott has been fired. But it always seen like he's a good coach at the start of things than after a while things just go down hill for him.I remember when NO was one of the best teams in the west a few years ago they even sat at the first seed for a while in the west. I thought they would be a good team for a while but now they suck.

i knew it was coming as soon as he made that comment about bleeding purple and gold. plus he's not that good of a coach anyway.. but that lakers comment sealed the deal

Dont agree with that. They've got good pieces they can build around...David West, Emeka Okafor and CP3. That's a big front court with an excellent pg. They do need some more pieces and better role players, but i think coaching has failed them the last two years.

By all rights D'Antoni of the Knicks and Franks of the Nets should have been fired before Scott. Franks predicting they'll win 40 games despite having not winning a game this season and D'Antoni predicting the NY fans will enjoy the team being in the playoffs last season.

I thought they peaked that yr. Then, peja being done and wright not taking the next step. I think they screwed up firing scott just as jersey screwed up. If anyone has followed shinn, we know after the coach gets fired, the fire sale starts. Zo,lj,baron, were all given away or let walk.
