Carrie Prejean, during the national publicity tour promoting her newly released hardcover, defends both the sanctity of marriage for heterosexuals only and, simultaneously, herself against evidence of her own premarital adulteries:[rquoter]"...I've learned a lot about people, and just what they'll do to make some extra money..."[/rquoter] Time and resources? We're all just ogling her, and imagining the forthcoming sex tape. Prejean was a beauty queen too stupid to dodge a politically sensitive question, in the only part of the beauty queen competition that could not be prepared for via tanning bed, properly-applied Vaseline or sculpting shapelier thighs. She was asked about gay marriage by a flamboyantly gay man, and wasn't bright enough to realize that her answer would hurt her in his and others' judgment. She received a lot of publicity from this error in judgment, publicity that the other runners-up (now back doing county fairs and cutting Wal Mart grand opening ribbons) did not receive. She's now attempting to transform this publicity into a lucrative career headlining the anti-gay marriage speaking circuit, and into profits from those speeches and subsequent book deal. Once it's revealed again that she's a total and complete hypocrite about her own sexual morality (as if, in her religious discrimination lawsuit, being counter-sued for the cost of her cosmetic breast implants was not enough), the basis for her purported stand against gay marriage erodes once more. Because she is yet another spokesperson who proves herself far from above reproach by her movement's own ridiculous standards, of course many will want to take some small measure of satisfaction in watching her fall. In the carefully rehearsed closing to the interview, in which her soundbite doubles as her newly-released book's title, she boldly declares: [rquoter]"My attackers would love nothing more but for me to be hiding in a corner and crying. But I'm Still Standing. [Available now, at booksellers everywhere!]"[/rquoter] But, let us not forget that she is a beauty queen; most of us find her far more attractive than, say, Ted Haggard. We do not, therefore, want to see her "in a corner and crying." We just want to see her naked, then we want to see her go away. So, in short, yes: we want to see the tape too.
What else could she do? She's caught, and she's a desperate attention w****. Wriggle wriggle, squirm squirm uh uh .... I'm a victim of the evil system. Yeah sister there is not anything you wouldn't say to get on TV or win a pageant or to get Daddy to love you.
I, for one, don’t have a problem with what she said. I don’t agree with it and I think it extremely hypocritical for straight people to talk about the “sanctity of marriage” when the divorce rate is at 50%, but that’s another thread I suppose. Last time I checked, everyone was entitled to their own opinion. My problem is with her hypocrisy. If you’re going to try to be the next Anita Bryant and stand up and judge people like she does, you damn well better be sure you don’t have any skeletons in your OWN closet. And LOL at her admonishing the things people do to make extra money. I don’t think any commentary on that is even necessary…. EDIT: Forgot to add.... I want to see the tape too. And I would indeed hit it. The things I would do to this woman....they are against the law in 28 states. Usually, the more tightly wound a woman like this appears, the more of an animal she is in the sack.
Why does this keep on happening. Are girls this dumb? HEY girls..... stop making sex tapes if you don't want them to come back to haunt you. (unless they are with me)
You sir, seem to not understand the power of the ego. If genetics blesses you with gifts that set you apart the average, you will go to great lengths to translate that into notoriety (love).
Carrie Prejean has made mistakes. Carrie Prejean made a mistake in not giving a non-answer to political question at a beauty pageant. Carrie Prejean made a mistake while modeling of letting the photog take a picture of her bare breast. Carrie Prejean made a mistake in sending her boy friend a sex video. It appears that Carrie Prejean and poor judgement will be lifetime companions. Carrie Prejean's 15 minutes of fame has long expired. It is time for her to just go away.
How many tapes have been rumored to be out there but haven't actually hit the net? I'd suggest that maybe 2 or 3 times its happened in the past, and it could be easily argued that those tapes probably didn't exist. Seen as this one has been viewed....its a matter of time.
like someone mentioned, i think the reason why it's not released yet is because she might have been underaged in the video. that would make it illegal for us to view it. alwell. i have nothing against her, but she's probably not the best person to make speeches on the conservative or religious circuit.
Too graphic? ...... Anyways went to my usual sources and they don't seem to have it yet... Probably only a matter of time anyway
Her Larry King act...wtf! <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/1R0a9xq6uek&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/1R0a9xq6uek&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
Simply brutal questioning. An absolutely withering interrogation. King grabs an interviewing scalp. (That would make it the first in Larry King Live's twenty-five year history.)
Ok, flipped to CNN for a second. She said she's so proud that she's accomplished so much at her young age. Okay......... She's about as endearing as swine flu in this interview. Time to switch the channel.
