No need to turn this into another a T-Mac hate thread, especially you DD. Just the HC saying McGrady is not indeed ready just as Morey and others have done. McGrady misspoke, so what, move on. Should he have done it? No. What are you/we as fans going to do about it? Nothing. Nothing we can do. Either he'll be moved or he wont be moved. Though we get it. You hate T-Mac and will do almost anything and will trade him for almost anyone to get rid of him. No need to keeep beating a dead horse. It gets old don't ya think? But hey, just my $.02
Uh, I am having fun in this thread........not turning into anything.......No hate at all....... Garson !!! Another Pinot Noir please. DD
Only t-mac can diminish the meaning of a "target date." Target for what? Is he going shopping at Target? The Rockets are playing a game that day and won't have a full practice for some time. His MRI is on the 23rd. I'm just curious to what the heck his target is for the 18th. I don't get this guy - even if he does well in a full practice and his MRI is good, we will still have to wait to play a cupcake team again so that he can make his "comeback"
I can't wait till the drama is done with either way by the 23rd the team and TMac should have a better foundation on what will happen next.
I'm not sure your familiar with reality DD. You flip flop more than anybody I know. Doesn't really make sense for you to question someone's "reality".
"He's done OK. But he has a long way to go." U sure he wasn't talking about the Rockets that came out and stunk it up in the second half tonight (minus Lowry )?
Before I thought it was over enthusiasm from fans that lead to arguments in this board. Now I realized you're just a guy who loves to instigate arguments from absolutely nothing. You're in another reality with your giant ego.
T-mac has a screw loose - there's no doubt about it. The guy had a weird view of reality. Great players, not as selfish as people make him to be....but he is a bit of drama queen. Let's face it, the guy just attracts drama with is inexplicable judgment in his choice of words or timing. But he is working hard, and his actions are positive - as is his intent. Unfortunately, the guy just is a media tool...and has no idea what to say or how to say it with any kind of polish.
"Coming off that surgery, you're not going to have the quickness you had before," Adelman said. "He's done OK. But he has a long way to go." That isn't about stamina. That's about lost athleticism in the leg because the rehab process is not complete.
If Mcgrady thinks he can come in and put up 20 points without doing much else, while everyone else is throwing their bodies around, he's wrong. the contract year is getting to t-mac's head. the point is if he can't play defense or contribute in another way other than taking jump shots (with barely any lift) and hoping that they go in so he can get some stats for a contract, he shouldn't be playing. maybe it's time for baseball.
I think the coach was trying to enpahcise the fact that TMac will be allowed to come back when he is up to speed DEENSIVELY with the other team members and he is not goig to go back just because he thinks he can dunk.
DD it sort of says to me that their thinking is not matching. Tracy thinks he is on the comeback trail while Coach 'A' and Morey seem to be set against Tracy coming back onto the team. I wonder what Les has to say about this?
Happened last year when TMac told the press he was shutting it down without telling Adelman. Hopefully TMac comes back strong sooner rather later, this team has a winning record right now but everyone is scratching their heads on how they're doing it. We could use a healthy TMac to plug some of the holes this team has.
