agreed its about time.. I cant believe his lawyers are arguing the whole thing happened too quickly and that the supreme court hasnt had a chance to review the case. Happened too quickly? It took 7 years!! Should have been dead long ago. I am happy the Governor did not intervene despite being against the death penalty. They should have some channel broadcast these executions. Glad justice will be served but he still gets off easy for all the pain he has caused the families of his victims.
Yes, because the taking of another human life is a right-of-passage that every teenager must witness. Signed, John Allen Muhammad
I was working in Richmond, Virginia at the time of his sniping and it was horrible. At least one of his victims was shot in Richmond, so everybody was extremely on edge and worried. Adios, Mr. Muhammad
I was listening to the radio the other day and this was brought up on by some of the DJs, that his execution was coming up. One of the DJs brought up that executions should be made available on pay-per-view and that revenue generated from this could be divided up between the victim's families and to cover some of the costs of housing the inmate. What do you guys think about that?
ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED? How depressing it is to me that humanity has not moved past the sickening lust to watch others die. Society brings its harshest form of justice tonight on a man who committed a terrible act. No matter what you think of the death penalty, it is not something to celebrate or to giggle about. A man is losing his life after taking many others. Nobody wins tonight.
I think anyone who takes gratification from the murder of another isn't far removed from the murderer himself. Muhammad was at least inherently stupid/out of his mind, with whack-a-mole crazy theology, at the time. Why would anyone want, much less pay, to see a modern day stoning? If citizens are truly concerned for the victims' families, they could, you know, donate the money already, without pulling up in front of the tele with a bowl of popcorn & On Demanding such barbarism, as they do with so many repeats of Friends. (Which brings me to my second point: Why would anyone want, much less pay, to see so many repeats of Friends?)
Agree with most of the sentiments on this thread. Whether this person deserved to die I'm not going to celebrate it and I certainly don't want to watch it.
Malvo said Muhammad wanted to extort $10 million from the government to set up a camp in Canada where homeless children would be trained as terrorists. Muhammad's ex-wife said she believes they were a smoke screen for his plan to kill her and regain custody of their three children. Sorry, I'm glad this POS is dead. To go out and headshot random people because you're upset? The dude was a racist murderer that wanted to keep killing without regard for human life... Malvo should get the needle himself...laughing about who they killed and how they died in the questioning? Seriously, wtf. The world is a safer place without these predators.
