My Mum and dad just saw Horry eating at houstons with 2 "important looking people in suits". probably nothing but you never know Does he still live in houston?
Horry is a kewl dude I saw him at Hooters last year after the Last championship [or was it 2 years ago] Silly Hooter girls falling over them selves trying to cheese up in his face. He smiled. . nodded and went back to talk to his friend It made me realize how annoying Autograph hounds and the like can be. . . . Rocket River
I like Horry and I would love to have the "old" Horry back. The "new" Horry is overpaid and has developed a knack for injury. Horry was one of the best big game shooters I have ever seen. He was responsible for alot of victories during our Championship runs. He is just not worth the money it would require to be here..IMO
Well in a different thread Kam says Horry was on 104 this morning so it might have something to do w/ that. Heres the link:http://bbs.clutchcity.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=37423
Are you joking? I cant tell because of the smile at the bottom, but if you're saying Horry "was" a big game shooter I guess you have not seen him play these last three post seasons in L.A. .
Nowhere in my post did I say that he was NO LONGER a big game shooter. I was merely pointing out that we need a consistant( all season long and not just the playoffs) contributor from the SF position. The money Horry is commanding right now is not along the lines of a consistant performer that we (the Rockets ) needs. I would rather pay Rashard that money before I paid Horry. On the Lakers, he only has to step up every now and then during the season because they do not need him to. Whereas he would need to play better more often for us. SF is the key to the Rockets success. Everytime Walt or whoever stepped up at the SF... we won.
The "new" Horry has developed a knack for injury?? What games have you been watching the last few seasons? The old Horry was always hurt in Houston, but in his 2nd year in LA (97-98), he bulked up and his injuries became less frequent. Last season, I think his only injury was his stomach problem right before the playoffs.
Yes , you are correct that he did well injury wise this year. You are also correct in that he has bulked up but the years and the added weight does bode well for a player who has had problems with his knees. Tendonitis can be a very nasty and persistant problem. Bottom line is ...I would rather give Rashard his $$$ before I would want Horry back. Now if Horry were to accept a much lesser contract, I would welcome him back with open arms.
