well guys, after T-Mac's declarations about his return without any official source from the rockets staff or the doctors, i do believe that these are signs of conflict between him and the Rox. Either he's looking to be traded by provoking the team or he is crazy :D
with that said I'm quiet sure Daryl won't wait too long to trade him
I'm afraid he spoils the chemistry of the team
so do you think T-Mac will be traded on the deadline?

I think right now Daryl is looking to trade him, but this can change if T-Mac plays really good this season and works well with the team...

Why trade him. Sit him on the bench till the end of the year let his contract expire and use the money in free agency.

You won't get value back for him if you trade him because of his salary. In my opinion he is worth more to us this way then actually trading him away unless you get something beyond stellar back which is hard to get in these kind of deals.

He is under contract. Let him whine all he wants keep him on the bench all season and then forget about him. He can't go anywhere since he's under contract so make him deal with it.

You all assume he will not play good etc. wait and see how he does, and then maybe you'll actually want to keep him

Doubt it... we can't get anything but trash for that contract. I'd rather pay him to play here for his last season... see what he's got... only trade if a decent offer that's actually worthwhile comes along.

Anyone who thinks that DM will trade Tmac does not know anything about basketball. Who can we get for Tmac that will be worth more than his expiring contract? Unless some miracle trade comes through he is not going anywhere.

it depends how much of a headache t-mac will be. if he comes back and the team chemistry is worse, morey may try to get rid of him asap. or we can just let t-mac get his numbers at the expense of the team and let his contract expire.

either way, this is most defintely t-mac's last season as a rocket. morey n adelman are tired of his shennanigans.

I'm trying to understand how people think he can't be traded. I can understand the Rockets not accepting what other teams offer but I have read from several members here that the Rockets won't be able to find anyone to take on his contract. That makes no sense.

What team doesn't want to clear $23 million off their books next summer while possibly only being responsible for a portion of that $23 million?

Not exactly. We're already way over the cap, so it saves us just enough money to get, well, the same quality players we've already got, since yao will pick up his option. Our best chance at an elite player is moving t-mac and one of our youngs, or shane, for said player. If t-mac is here past the trade deadline, expect to see him in a rockets uniform for a while, because it means morey thinks he can still play.

    Simple question

Do you think Tracy McGrady will be wearing Rockets' uniform this season?

    (Yes. -- Jonathan)

T-mac will come back and silence all this nonsense about trades. He is still one of the best in my eyes and can really lead us to a better chance then if we didn't have him. Im tired of all this talk. Let the man play!

Name a trade that the Rockets can get for Tmac that is worth more than his expiring contract? Tmac is worth more to the Rockets if they just let his contract expire. They will not get face value for him and they will get tied down by contracts. Keeping Tmac will give more capital to Morey for the offseason.

    In before DD.

PS. Daryl Morey will trade him while he has value.

So you want to trade Tmac with one of our young promising players or Shane, our glue guy? No thank you.

Oh I agree he can be traded. And possibly easy as far as any other team is concerned.

Any team that trades for Tracy will likely have to include some form of multiyear contract to do it.

Which I feel is non beneficial to the Rockets because I doubt we would get any kinda true quality in what we get back. Some might feel they are doing US a favor.

I too have felt that as well as we are playing where would TMac fit in, but I also fear that what if our 4-2 record is fools gold.

For now other teams don't know who the Rockets are in their current form because in some way neither do we.

TMac may not be the 30 PPG scorer he used to be, or even an efficient scorer. But we are not talking about Bonzi Wells here or even Steve Francis. TMac even on one good leg last year was a 15 5 and 5 guy. Are we saying we cannot even use THAT?!?!

I say let him play for the season while he is still under contract. I guess I am one of the few people left who still has hope that he can play like the 2-time scoring champ he once was. If we get that Tracy Mcgrady back we would be foolish to trade him. A Tmac in that form would be able to fit into any offense, so I am not worried about him slowing us down. I hope they start him off slow and ease him into the rotation.

keeping tracy would be a win win situation cus there is no way we are gonna get value in return on a trade, if he comes back healthy thats great, if not then his contract will just come off the books

What is all this talk about no value in return? How valuable is an aging player coming off a micro-fracture surgery?

If they can get something good in return, why the hell not? A financially struggling team with some high priced players would be more that willing to give up good talent to have tmac's contract come off their books.
