People here have been very critical of me correcting factual errors and my "breath of reality". I concede. I will join the flock. ------------------ Join the Rockets flock: Get a lobotomy!
huh? got a breath problem? Try Scope. Flock of what? I can get cool grooves cut into my head? AWESOME!! GO ROCKETS! BOO YAH!! ------------------ I have a special purpose.
THEY HAVE THE BEST TEAM IN HISTORY! BRYCE DREW = FIRST BALLOT HALL OF FAMER! ------------------ Rockets: 82-0 in 2001. If you don't think so, you are a negative Grizzlies fan.
ROCKET BOOSTER close. But no cigarettes please. I am white and ignorant. woo - hoo ------------------ I have a special purpose.
Oh, I see, and you try to mask it with little witty one-liners. Wow! you are so cool. ------------------
Mike Miller is white too! BOO YAH ------------------ Don't sweat the petty things, and don't pet the sweaty things!
Unfortunately you have not been here long enough to understand different posters personalities. Some will correct you on stats, some on grammar, some on spelling, and some on being a freaking crybaby. I'm not sure which one I am but one helpful hint. Don't pick an arguement with someone unless they're completely full of sh*t. If someone's speculation is unlikely but not impossible, don't rip into them. It won't get you any respect around here. If no one likes you then so what. Stick around long enough and they'll get used to you. But saying I'll change to fit in is pretty lame. Another hint. Don't listen to people based on the # of posts. Some people can rack up 100 within weeks of signing up and feel like they should get a patch for their jacket . Just as in life some people feel they have to be involved in every conversation, regardless of whether or not they have any real insight or opinion. Anyway I don't give advice often and it's rarely taken. So take it for what it's worth. ------------------ "Stranger things have happened, but none stranger than this" - Commentator after a parachutist landed in the ring of a Tyson fight
Wow. He cracked. You guys remember the days of the optimists vs. pessimists wars, back in the fall when the team was losing games like crazy? Everything was black and white: either the Rockets were a lottery team, or they were contending. No middle ground, nobody able or willing to see some of the points or ideas that others had. It was ugly on the court, and worse in here. Sky Pilot- I want to tell you the things I agree with you on. I agree that Vancouver has a better core talent than the Rockets. Bibby and Dickerson in the backcourt, with Shareef and either Swift/Martin up fron is nothing less than astounding. From the first moment you posted that, I thought so. I also agree that the chances of getting the #2 or #3 are very slim. In the case of Vancouver, it would probably take more than just players; also some other favors like taking Reeves' contract or giving them some cap relief with our exception. You should re-read some of those really long threads you posted in and count how many times people agreed with you. I can't count how many times people said that you probably will be right that we won't get Swift. You should also count how many times people credited you for expressing yourself intelligently. It is your arrogance and inflexibility that turned those threads into wars. "correcting factual errors" "breath of reality" It is worth noting that you use the word "reality" instead of "realism". The only "factual error" you corrected was the average climates of varios regions in North America, which is certainly quantifiable. The rest of your "corrections" have been assertions of your opinion. That's worth putting in bold. Your "corrections" have been assertions of your opinion. That you consider all your "corrections" to be "factual", that you consider your opinion to be "reality", only confirms that the stench that reeks throughout your posts really is naked arrogance. Do you really think you're the first person to claim Drew is a carreer backup? Do you think you're the first person to say "whoah, let's calm down with the Bullard/Maloney for McGrady" talk? Hardly. For months we've had debates about the worth of Drew in a trade, long before you showed up. But it never reached the heights you have taken it to. Why? People are coming after you becuase of your attitude. Make no mistake of it. Only someone of your arrogance could make posters cry out in one voice the value of Cato/KT/Drew/#9. LOL. Sky Pilot- I do agree with some of your statements about Vanc. But plz u dont have to ket pissed of when people correct u. Its a good thing. It seems that u really want to get kick off this post why? Anyways just be yourself sont try to act so mad all the time. Plz... I have seen people do better when getting kicked of this site. Just to say a couple of names... Camer87 and Tmoney. I actually have to disagree with you Nolen about vanc. having a better core of young talent. For these reasons. steve Francis- The next gary payton or allen Iverson shandon Anderson- solid defender and can score even in the low-post Kenny Thomas- Showed signs esspecially on the low-post a starting PF of the future. Kelvin Cato- Give him a chance to develope but... right now he has his shot-blocking ability, (its a start.) Cuttino Mobely- Slasher and has the best first step in the leauge. Moochie Norris- Dont know if u count a 27 year old as young but, if u do hes a solid backup and takes care of the ball. Maybe you still dont agree but this is just IMO. ------------------ Roxs team of the furture. IM bACK!!!!
Tdub, Thanks for your concern. No one has corrected me. As far as I am concerned, the ignorant out there are all mental midgets. ------------------ Rockets: 82-0 in 2001. If you don't think so, you are a negative Grizzlies fan.
