“Friday, November 6th, the Houston Rockets will take the court at Toyota Center wearing a new alternate jersey. The new jersey will feature the ‘ketchup and mustard’ colors from the Rockets’ 1994 and 1995 championship years with HOUSTON on the front. The first 3,000 fans in attendance will receive a free kid-size replica of the alternate jersey, courtesy of Toyota. The jersey will be available for sale exclusively at the Rockets Team Shop on Friday during the game against the Oklahoma City Thunder, as well as Saturday, November 7th between 10a-3p. On Saturday, November 7th, Yao Ming will sign autographs at the Rockets Team Shop for the first 100 customers to purchase the new alternate jersey.”
Starting line up (when healthy) has as strange order... 0, 1, 11, 3, 4 funny how things turned out. Hmm.
Daniel Gotera of khou.com conducted an interview with Yao after the event. Here's the video. <object height="288" width="470"><param name="movie" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" value="http://www.khou.com/v/?i=69491522" /><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always" /><param name="wmode" value="transparent" /><param name="AllowFullScreen" value="true" /><embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" src="http://www.khou.com/v/?i=69491522" AllowFullScreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" height="288" wmode="transparent" width="470"></embed></object> http://www.khou.com/sports/basketball/Yao-Ming-meets-with-fans-talks-about-recovery-69491522.html
I was there. Got to see the BIG FELLA up close and personal. Yao didnt start signing autographs until like 3 pm. Suprised how fast it went. He looks good and seemed real happy to be there signing stuff for fans. Good to see one of our stars wiling to give back to the fans although he is out of the lineup....(#3 that means you!)
I went to Friday's game and decided to check out the new jerseys (not the Nets). The numbers on the replicas looked a bit cheesey, definitely have to go with the Swingman. I'm hoping they get some Budinger jerseys.
