There seems to be an impression that morey will be able to flip mac for something useful.

However this seems unlikely since three such moves were made in the off season and I just don't see a team looking to dump such a piece:

    Carter
    Jefferson
    Shaq
    Okafur

Scanning the nba landscape one option might be the hornets. They suck, maybe we could take peja and cp3 for tmac + brooks + landry?

That would save them 30+ mil next year, but they would have to pretty dumb to get rid of cp3.

Perhaps we could get redd for tmac.
    Another option could be brand
Rip+Price from pistons if they want more cap space

The fact is there aren't really any good option to flip his contract.

Rip + prince is a trade that would have put us as the best team bar none last year, but right now, that would just be a lateral move.

    Brand is terrible...

Redd, sort of a lateral move as well.

We need a solid big man.

Bosh and Stoudamire are just about the only two that could benefit us.

I don't think CP3 is going anywhere for any amount of cap relief or any player not named Kobe or LeBron.

The smart money is on T-Mac sticking around for the time being. It is the job of our training and coaching staff to get him healthy and find the best way to utilize him and have him FIT IN with what we are doing here right now. While I have full trust in Morey and think that he is the best GM in the game, getting something for T-Mac is probably his toughest task yet.

Bosh is really the best option that might be available and he's from Texas. Right now he's throwing up 28 points and 11 rebounds plus he's only 25. I know I'm dreaming but anything's possible, especially with Toronto favoring international players. Send them a package of Scola and T-Mac plus filler?

    Brooks
    McGrady
    Battier
    Bosh
    Scola

    Bench

    Lowry
    Ariza
    Budinger
    Landry
    Andersen

For swapping Tmac injury wise and salary wise (not equal value of course), I think dat Kevin Martin is a good one rather than Redd...but I prefer a C..Kaman is quite ok...PF, Bosh of course but Morey magic is needed.

As I've posted recently. IMO, McGrady's trade value has increased since the pre-season. It has nothing to do with McGrady and all to do with the other team's situation.

The best offer the Rockets got in the pre-season were NY's offers of differing combinations of Q-Rich, Hughes, and Curry in a trade package.

Kevin Martin is injured again. His injury last season was a huge issue between him and the Kings front office. Nocioni hasn't been happy there and was arrested for DUI.

Rip & Prince are both injured. With those two out the Pistons started to win with their young players.

These are the salary dump moves as teams prepare for 2010 FA.

Forget about McGrady for Bosh or even Amare (do not want). Those are laughable scenarios. Look at what the Suns wanted from GS. That is Curry, Monta, and Biedrins. The Rockets have be willing to give away all three of Brooks, Ariza, and Landry to even begin serious discussions on those kind of trades.

Ginobili could a longshot option. He would've gotten an extension if it weren't for his commitment to Argentina. They simply don't want him playing for Argentina if he continues with the Spurs. Another thing with McDyess locked in, Bonner established as their starter, Blair being what he is, and the supposed interest Pops has with signing that Greek center perhaps they'll part with the rights to Tiago Splitter as well? The issue is the Spurs don't seem to have the right contracts salary-wise to make it work.

aww no, i don't wanna see T-Mac going to the hornets..they're not a good team, at all, I'm sure T-Mac will do good this season, and if he does, luckily he may get traded to a good team...

I would do this in a heartbeat. This team is proving it wants to play fast-paced offense. I don't see the benefit in screwing everyone else's game by making them purely post-feeders and spot-up shooters. That's all they can be with Yao needing the ball in the post and Tracy needing the ball on the perimeter. Not to mention, neither guy fills the lane on a fastbreak.
