he was projected to be a lottery pick had he come out after his freshman year and a mid 1st rounder if he came out his sophomore year.

I didn't expect him of this kinda production out of him before preseason began, and actually he gave everybody a surprise, that is how good he can be. :D If the GM's knew he could be this good,he def' would of landed twenties or above, he does not look like a 2nd rounder to me anymore.

Playing like a lottery player, perhaps not a top 5 though.

Let's not get too excited guys. I say definite first round pick, but not lottery.

Lottery. I'm pretty sure he's better now and will be better than Earl Clark, Tyler Hansborough, Gerald Henderson and Terrance Williams. He could also be a better than guys like Jordan Hill, James Harden, and Hasheem Thabeet but that is yet to be determined. Regardless, he's a safe early teens pick had GM's known he was this good. Another steal by Morey :D

He was projected to be a late first round pick the whole time but then for some reason, just fell.

Give him some time to develop, then he will become an all-star

My guess would be that he'd have been selected at the tail end of the lottery. Maybe in the 15-18 range. He's got lottery pick talent. The questions were more about his resolve. From what he's shown thus far, he's got the mettle to play in this league. Great pick.

Didn't they say he was considered for a higher pick but his defensive liabilities kept him low?

I remember hearing Bill talk how the NBA game suits chase better than college. More space for Chase equals higher percentage shots, which he's been knocking down so far.

I mentioned that in one of draft threads LONG before the draft started too.

Chase is the type of guy who once he gets in his full stride, covers a lot of ground quickly, and with his explosiveness, can finish around the basket.

In college, he went up against zone defenses and shorter area to work with.

    I think he did know?

That's why he said 'first round, but not lottery' - ie, 15-30?

Where's the option in the poll for 15-20?

    That's where I think he'd go.

What impresses me most is just how quickly and seemlessly he has completely picked up the offenese.

Its like he has been running it for years. It makes me think his BBIQ is just through the roof.
