Finally the Rockets have a team on the floor that plays as a TEAM.

They have a 6'6 Center who plays with Pure Heart and Hustle, as does the entire team; but yet and still we have managed to put the focus back on the TOF and YOF threads....

Neither one of them will fit the current team and imho the y both should be let go so that we can all move on to the next chapter.

The Rockets finally have a team on the floor that plays as one. There is no true go to guy, who's ever hot takes the shot. This makes for a very dangerous team... No one person to key on.

This team plays with raw grit, hustle and heart... Something that this board has been complaing about years.. I love to watch this team go out there every single night knowing that they are the underdog and knowing that the exprets say they have no chance.... But yet they still manage play with the heart of a champion...

There's the answer for you to TOF and YOF... It's called TEAM work.

I believe the current style has more potential to achieve the final goal than we played in last few years. It is more exciting to watch. It is fun and will continue to be in the next years.
Just image what it would be now if we still had JVG.

I think he's talking about all these TMac and Yao threads. People should be focused on the guys that are out there, busting their butts to remain competitive and doing a great job.

i agree with the op. i think we still need a go to guy but its too easy to defend yao in crunch time and mac is not quick enough anymore. i hope mac can come back quicker, but id be surprised.

I am what is usually called a "hater" cause i don't particullary think that none T-Mac or Yao are Championship Caliber cornerstones. While i really dislike T-Mac i am not so high on Yao, i respect his stats and that's it. And i like his work ethic.

That's why i am really rooting for this team to make the PO and make everyone realize that by "overating" the stars on this team have "underapreciated" the great players we have.

I opened this open poll before the season started ( http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=176007 )so that many of those only X fans realize that even if none of those come back, a big part of the fans belive this team is more important than any individuals. (almost 40%)

Where did that get us last year?

    http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=290517013

The team with more talent won the series. We lost to them this year at home as well. We didn't have Budinger but they didn't have Gasol.

We need our full payroll in action on the court to have a chance to win the whole thing.

It's time we as FANS move on as have the Rockets without T-Mac and Yao. Look at the threads that have been started about who the Rockets missed most..... Who will be the odd man out...

The threads should be focused on the current players and their accomplishments and not on indivduals that have not suited up ONCE this season.

But full payroll doesnt necesary include T-Mac and Yao. It could be any player that we could have right now and could be ready to play in a matter of weeks.
This team has the chance to be bigger than their stars, to expect so much respect from other teams and from the franchise and fans itself.
And in some players situation on of the most beneficial scenarios in a future contract negotiation.

Nice.... Last year that same team pushed the Lakers to the brink of elimination and that's something no other TEAM with more TALENT than the Rockets was able to do including the Nuggets or Cavs.

I'm not saying this team doesn't need a couple of more players.. But what they don't need is injury prone players that will kill the chemistry that this has.

Even without Chase, they should have won the game, but everyone including the coach made some mistakes... But I will take this team with his young players and it's mistakes any day of the week.

I live in Dallas and I constantly here them complain about their team having no heart even with all their TALENT...

They didn't play as a TEAM last year? Or during the 22 win streak? You sound like it's never been done with them on the court. I am also tired of the Yao and McGrady threads but your hyperbole sucks. I hope you are not opposed to trading them for another star because it would change the TEAM work.
