Watched Clips vs. Memphis last night... boy does Kaman look good. Very fluid moves, nice interior passing, too (even a behind the back pass to Camby). I dare say that, even if Yao Ming comes back 100%, Kaman might be able to "****ing stop him" nowadays. The team is a bit of a mess as usual, but they will win some games with Kaman, BD, Gordon, etc. I just can't get over the fact that an NBA All Star would look like this.
Hes putting up big numbers against the worst teams in the NBA, or in losses thats it. Lets see him carry his team to a win against a good team and then he MIGHT be able to sniff yao's jock
Yao thinks not. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Jss1xEzh5b4&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Jss1xEzh5b4&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
The center spot for the West is going to be an eye sore this year. Whoever makes it will be making the team over the likes of Dirk, Melo, Amare, maybe even Duncan. The West center will probably have less votes than the forwards that didn't make it as well. It was one thing when Yao Ming was doing it, everyone knew he'd make it and his star power and stats kind of merited the selection. But this year's West center will not have the game, the name or the votes to be a starter. I hope the NBA lists Duncan as a center this year, they tried in the past but Duncan didn't want to lose his spot to Yao, no such problems this year. Let Duncan be the center and have Melo, Dirk and Amare fight for 2 spots.
This guy is currently putting up 20 and 10 at center and plays in a huge market for a nationally popular winning team. If he keeps it up, he's your starter.
I've watched him play and his jump shot is much improved, his midrange shot looks very reliable now and he can turn, face, and shoot in the post, and he still has the jump hook with both hands and the bulk to hold his own in the post. Also, he still sees a ton of single coverage. If he keeps this up that will change, and we'll see how he handles that, his passing wasn't a strength of his game in the past.
He did make one rather nice behind the back pass to Camby for a dunk. He also generally looked much more fluid than before. In fact, he looks graceful in comparison with Yao now, where as before he looks clunky.
