I really would've guessed Chuck or Battier actually anybody except for Artest. His shooting % the series against LA was putrid.

They said on TV that this game was a sellout. So was the first game against Portland. All the seats have been bought. People just don't show up for games. Its mind boggling.

actually i was in the lower bowl and shocked to see people filing out after artest's 3 pointer and whats even more amazing.. people leaving after the end of regulation!!

after artests 3, i expect the lame non-fans to leave, the couple next to me left (and eventually came crawling back when they realized that we sent it to OT lol) ..but to see people leaving atfter we sent it to OT was ridiculous. I was hoping it was just fans who needed to use the restroom, but it appeared that most didn't return and the beginning of OT was probably less full than during the game! i couln't believe it. truly embarrassing if you ask me

WOW! Im impressed how many people left and the OT had just started, stupid people. maybe they thought the game ended in a tie at the end of the 4th quarter haha.

any time i watched home games on tv,i was disappointed at the beginning by the sparse-mode appeared in seats,i always wish that our home attendence would be like Utah or Cleveland, especially in the very fisrt mins and very last mins.

LA has the biggest Korean population in comparison to any other U.S. city. He's probably trying to win over some more fans and or draw attention from Korean media.

All the lower bowl tickets are bought by companies and then nobody goes. They seriously need to put an end to it.

And according to Rox.com, its a sell out.
Why do people buy tix and not use them?

This isn't true. There were tons of club level tickets available up to 48 hrs before the game.

If you think a little outside the box on this thread. Why were the rockets giving away floor tickets for the Lakers game anyway?

They did this because they knew that they were gonna have a ton of empties and it would look bad if they didn't get people in the seats. So they did twitter contests etc. to fill the seats up. I noticed a few employees sitting in the Club for the game who generally would not sit there also.

They actually did some of the things you guys always wish they would do in terms of putting the "real fans" in the good seats.

    been over this many times

companies buy them up in blocks, and they can write off part of the cost to "Client entertainment". If the company doesnt need them to entertain, and the person that decides what gets done with the tix doesnt want to go or they dont find someone that does, the seat stays empty.

Ive gotten to go to a few good games with nice lower level seats over the years cause one of our client contacts was able to get me their company's unused seats.

Yup, that's how I got my great seats for opening night, from a vendor. I called on Monday to let him know that if he has ANY tickets that are not taken for any game, I will GLADLY take them and yell like mad for my Rox.

Most of the people that get these tix just go for the venue and leave halfway through. I sent our vendor pics of my brother and I all decked out in Rox gear in the seats and he loved it. That's how it should be.

    That describes a win-win situation.

It would be cool if those ticket holders could let fans on here know when they have really good seats for cheap. I'm new here, does that ever happen? Do the posters on buy good seats if they are a fair price
