I don't care for any of it, but I don't think that's where the complaints are coming from. I think it's stemming from a more simple basic form of logical consistency that people feel is being violated. I think people are somewhat flabbergasted at the variance of the tip system in the USA. You can do the same thing at a different restaurant and it's arguable that you're not doing too much different than this supposed waiter here and the tips would be $20 at the normal nice restaurant and $7000 at this place. I see the silliness of it. I'm not hating on it. I don't care if it's fair or deserved or whatever. It's cool for the waiter who has that gig. But it is silly, the tip system and how weird it can make things. I'm not a stingy tipper; I've been a waiter and bartender; I prefer the European system. The whole story is fake anyways.
Just because the gratuity has been added to a tab doesn't mean you have to pay it. He could've tipped $100 and the restaurant would still take his business any day of the week. Do people not know this?
That's the same think I was thinking I mean I know its his money but to me that's too much money just for some drinks and a meal. We have people in this world that's dying to eat and then you see something like this 47k gone in mins. Even if I had money like that I wouldn't waste it on stupid things and I know that's easy for me to say because I'm not rich but I really mean it.
