    Hamilton
    Prince
    Detroit in:
    McGrady
    Dorsey

    LA out:
    Camby
    LA in:
    Prince

C - Camby, Hayes, Andersen, (Yao)
PF - Scola, Landry, Pops, Cook

I would do the trade because age in Hamilton's mold wont effect him as much as like a Wade. He don't play that way aggressively just plays within the team system so his durability is much better. Look at what he is doing right now and age certainly don't seem to be effecting him any.

Prince would be nice to have, but we are loaded at the 2/3 after this deal, but for 1 season even if they can't make another move like Battier some where he comes off the books the same year Prince does.

Both teams have a similar foundation BTW.

Either way i'm satisfied with what we got as well so no need to get trigger happy which if true is what both teams are doing anyways.

No, we have too many SFs and SGs, and they are already good players, so I do not think this trade will improve the team for a long run.

Would GSW give us Beindris for Prince or something after they swap Jackson?

    I don't like it...

Unless we could get in on a 3-way and get rid of some of the wings, it doesn't make much sense. I would like to have a few draft picks this year though.

    Why would we need Rip?

We basically have a younger, more athletic version of him in Chase Budinger.

So we put Ariza on the bench after he started for a championship team, then comes here for a bigger role?

Because we know Rip isn't going to want to go to the bench...then we get a situation where guys are talking about how they should have been in at the end of the game.

Team is playing fine right now, no reason to trade any one. If Tmac is traded for anyone it should be a Center.

    Also Exactly.

Chase is Rip Hamilton in how he plays exactly. Rip is probably quicker though and more consistent shooter, but Chase's shot is only going to get better as confidence grows.

Only if they are to be move for other pieces. (or help moving current pieces) but not permanent stay for them all (cant Prince play the 4 legibility?)

I think you guys are mightily underestimating Rip. I love Air Bud, but he's far from proven.

Not that I am convinced at this trade proposal, TA is more a SF. When talks of him taking a paycut for a bigger role starter), same talks of Battier stepping down to 6th man came up. Why is it Ariza who sits?

I would think Battier sits. Prince sits. Use either or to get your center.

with either Battier or Prince traded for said center, PT for Budinger wont drop (face it if Tmac comes back its dropping so the addition of these players isnt changing anything)

    Prince for Big Z?

    Didnt Cleveland want Ariza?

would kinda make sense. especially for us being Z is last year.

Prince is a more effect defender atm too. Well last year he was, havent seen him this year. Add in Dorsey to make salaries match.

    Brooks
    Rip
    Ariza
    Scola
    Z

Z comes off books when Yao returns.

Rip helps spread the floor. Ariza and Budinger will be better shooters by then as well.

If that did occur I would look to move Prince on, since we have Battier, Chase and Ariza who need playing time.

Rip Hamilton would be great for Chase, teaching him how to use screen and things of that nature.

If we moved Tracy on, I'd go for it if we got Hamilton.

I would do it because those players fit perfectly and they should make us a very attractive team for any kind of trades. Getting a Big won't be a problem with the stock of players we could trade.
Aside from Hamilton i would trade Anyone of Ariza, Battier and Prince.
