To any who follow the Astros: There is a good web site, much like Clutch City, that provides fans for the Houston Astros a place to vent frustrations, find out about the team, and research past teams at http://www.astrosdaily.com. Major League Baseball has threatened a law suit for trademark violations in an effort to close it down. Visit the site yourself and see if your agree with MLB. If not, I urge you to research ways to let your concern be felt. If MLB can close down a non-profit fan site such as this, will the NBA and Clutch City be next?

AstrosDaily.com is the best run fan sports site I have ever visited. (Any guesses on who I think is a close second? ) Houston sport fans are incredibly lucky to have both them and ClutchCity.net. A sad day indeed.
Yeah, you're right. I wonder if fan sites for other MLB teams are getting the letter from the lawyers or if it's all the Astro's doing. Either way, another case of the owner's fiddling while Rome burns.
Ray Kerby posted this a little while ago at the Astros Daily forum: hold the phone Posted By: Ray K Date: Monday, July 8, 1:36 p.m. I cannot go into details, but the Astros have contacted me and seem to willing to work some sort of compromise. There are no guarantees, of course, but it was a very promising email. As a result, I want to restate my earlier position that it is likely that the Astros themselves were not behind this. http://www.astrosdaily.com/cgi-bin/forum/bbs?read=4133
This may be true. But I did a quick survey of other MLB teams unofficial sites at Baseball-links.com and did not find a one mentioning an MLB attack. A few were very sophisticated fan pages that had their various teams logos all over. A Red Socks page was even selling its own merchandise. I can't believe these pages fell through the cracks and only Astro fan sites get burned. Either they are working down the list alphabetically or there is someone at the Astros that is a snake.
