lalala is referring to the Broadband Choice Package for viewing games over the Internet, only available through NBA.com
Which I would do, except the one I'd have wouldn't have it on it yet, so due to this "system" I will be minus the broadband part of this service for nearly three weeks... and that's a guess at the minimum... or so it would appear.
So, I was wondering is there any location in the U.S. that is not a designated market for an NBA team? I'd really like to not have to worry about blackouts and crap (Would I get caught if I lied about where I lived?) I'm referring to the Broadband service only, of course.
I live in Dallas and have U-verse. FSNhouston is blacked out during Rockets games. My billing address is in Houston. Will I be able to watch Rockets games on broadband league pass? Ive read the site and i'm confused enough to ask before paying.
I think you'll be OK, though I'm not certain. Here are a few reasons why I think you will be able to see Rockets games: 1) You can't watch FSN Houston, so it's not available on television in your market. 2) Blackouts for the Broadband plan go by your IP, not your billing address. This is mentioned in the League Pass FAQ under blackout information. 3) I can watch most Dallas games on the Broadband plan just fine from a Houston IP address. Now, the only exception to this would be for those games that are on NBA TV; those will always blacked out, but we don't have any nationally televised games on other channels for this season as far as I know. So yeah, I think you'll be good to go, though again I'm not sure about this and you might want to wait for a Dallas area member to chime in. You should have checked during the free preview that went on until November 3rd. Ah well. Here's a link to the FAQ I referenced above: http://leaguepasssupport.nba.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=7801 Good luck.
Free preview is actually still going on. I thought I had my account set up but it's still the free preview. It ends tonight at 7:05 Central. I opened the browser hoping it will still work when the Rockets game starts.
F***ing Ridiculous. I selected my teams and it is only giving me Audio as an option. it says I have to upgrade or choose my teams. the ROckets are clearly on my list of 7 teams.
came home today and wanted to watch the rockets thunder game on archive but it didnt work?? Its the first time ive tried to watch an archived game, so has anyone done it before/does it usually work? The archive feature was a main reason why i got NBALP in the first place. Cheers.
Yep, that's the one. So far it's been decent. I have my computer directly hooked up to the TV. Picture is comparable to the non-HD cable. I wish I could get rid of the header on top of the screen though.
once you launch League Pass Broadband and choose your 7 teams (if you are on Choice Package), you should close the LPBB Browser , log out of NBA Acces, then log back in. My account was frozen like this last night, I chose my teams and then would choose Rockets and it only gave me audio as an option. I logged out, logged in, and finally got through... the Customer Service option is a joke. I had two live chat sessions: one of them ended before it started, the other gave me instructions for a problem I wasn't having, the e-mail ticket suggested I use Firefox, and the live phone call I requested never came through. had to figure it all out on my own, by this time the game was over but available on archive..
Some reason I'm still getting the free preview. Also, at my work I can watch the archives of the Rocket games, but they are blacked out at home. Both IP addresses are in Sugar Land.
NBA league pass broadband is a joke, pathetic. Its taking two weeks for them to activate my account. Why sell a product that you can't even handle? Morans.
mine was instant. my main complaint is that NBATV games are blacked out. its just ridiculous that NBALP blacks out paying customers from their own product. its not even contract deal with tnt/abc/espn.
i first bought the 7 team pass. that thing sucked in terms of the restrictions. so i just upgraded to the full LP.
