I take it that you have never been stood up before, because if you had, you wouldn't even be asking this question. What's one date going to hurt other than some cash out of your wallet? I would go out, pay for her meal, be nice and polite and then not call her. Or I guess you could call her a couple of days later and say that you just want to be friends and not anything serious romantically. And make sure that the next time, you don't get yourself in a situation where you have to go out with her like a date-date. Either let her know up front, you aren't interested in dating or that you will be just friends going out (which would also imply separate checks).
I disagree with this a bit. True, you're not in any relationship with her, and your obligations are minimal, but they're not non-existent. I think common decency dictates that you at least communicate to her that you don't want to do the date. ....(assuming that you want to uphold common decency, that is).
Eh, we can get along as long as you look one way when I talk about a certain something and I do the same when you talk about a certain something.
If you're not into her, don't waste your time (AND money) or hers. what's worse for her? hearing from you that you're not interested before going on the date or hearing from you that you're not interested after you've wined and dined her? i go with the latter.
^ No way. You had to be doing the AIR GUITAR thing, man. So disappointing. So disappointing... LOL! Nah. He said "be nice" and then he said "don't call her." That's silly. I laughed, if anything.
you never know, you may be able to show your grandkids this thread someday, so go for it. If you pass, you can always come hangout with nerds on the bbs also, wtf is with that pic up there. socks and sandals = dork and thats jsut for starters
well this one certaintly sounds like a "conundrum"... not at all like the previous so-labeled situation you previously brought to our attention... you know, I just don't know how Fatty manages to live his carefree life amidst multiple "conundrums" the way does.. one of his many fabled gifts I imagine..
