I've never understood the fascination with Eli. He had a great closing stretch during the Superbowl season, but he's otherwise been nothing more than pedestrian. He has 1 season with a QB rating above 80 (86) and is there at that same level again this season - and that's the best he's ever been. And he did all this with an above average running game and defense, as well as pretty good receivers (until this year).

For comparison, Schaub was notably better this year and last. Rodgers was better this year and last. David Carr, in his best season, was at 82 - almost as good as Eli's best year. And for their careers, Eli is at 77, while Carr is at 75.

    I'd switch Rodgers and Schaub.

    otherwise the list is flawless.

If you're just watching a game for fun, there is no one more fun than Farvera.

When he has the straight shot, nobody throws the laser like Bret. When he has no shot, he still takes it.

I like both of em, and I think if the Packers could protect Rodgers for more than 3 seconds back there, he'd be putting up the best numbers in the league.

Schaub is going to miss Owen Daniels, sucks to see him go down.

I put VY in there as a laugh......come on......hehehe....people have lost their sense of humor.

I would put Schaub in the top 11-15 area...and VY is at the bottom, in truth.

I'd love to see Colt McCoy try and throw for 400 yards and 4 TDs in the NFL.

I'm honestly curious to see how Cult will do.

I wasn't nearly as sold on VY being an NFL QB as I am Cult, but this season has made a lot of doubts creep into my mind.

At this rate, is he a first rounder? I guess it depends on what teams are going to need a QB.... Bucs, Skins, Panthers... Bills...?

I love Colt...I loved Major...both are excellent college QB's who I don't think will make good pro QB's. No shame in that.

Agreed. Every time Eli looks like he has taken the step up to the elite level, he starts throwing interceptions again.

Y'all are all bullcrapping me. You put MATT TouchDown-is-ME SCHAUB below 5th in most of your lists...?

Leading the league in YARDS, tied for the league lead in TDs, 5th in completion percentage, 16-to-7 touchdown-to-Interception ration, No worse than 5th in rating, and he's not in your top 5? WHY? That's  BULL.

Schaub is up there with Brees, Ryan, Manning, and Manning.
You're seriously lacking football knowledge, sir. VY is much better than J Russell and Derek Anderson. :( Heck even I know THAT much.

Perhaps health, and career have been taken into consideration. Schaub has set a career high in TD passes with 16 so far this season.

^^ See, there goes another one.
WTF (what the fudge) does "health" have to do with anything? Isn't he WELL right now? What are we talking about, the current season, or since they were born?

Health has to do with playing a full season. ;)

    Really? Let's see...

    Games played per season:
Manning... FULL SEASONS. He's #1. I give you that. Cool.
Brady... full seasons except 2001, 2002, etc.... but only played in 1/2 of last year's ONE game. But he's still ranked above Schaub? Ok... maybe.
Ben Rothlisberger 14, 12, 15, 15, 16. Only ONE full season. But he's still ranked above Schaub?

    I don't get it.

Schaub is a top 5 QB this year.
