Texans getting love on CBS. Andre is the best WR and OD is top 3 tight end. Game next week vs Colts will be showdown!
We gameplanned for Hill. Had Smith been the starter, we would have prepared for him. We should be at least 6-2.
If that is in fact true....then I really feel for him more than this team. He was having such an amazing year. Time for Thor to step up.
Just watched the game had baseball all afternoon......wow, that running game. Do you guys think Slaton gets another chance? Moats ran hard and downhill. DD
Considering... 1. The Bills are a TERRIBLE run defense team. 2. Slaton has a TON of skills..... ...Yes. I believe Slaton gets another chance.
He did pretty well, but I still think he is an average QB at best. His throws to the sidelines look like high school football arm type of throws...and his lack of foot speed is apparent. But, to be fair, when given a decent amount of time, he reads defenses well and makes solid throws over the middle. I would still look for a better QB, but right now, he is right smack in the middle of NFL QBs. DD
At least gimme a list of the 13-15 QBs that you would rather have (Down from the 20 that you had previously mentioned).
You did hit the nail on the head about Schaub's weakness. He cant throw the 8 to 12 yard out reliably. Sometimes it looks crisp, and sometimes it just looks terribly slow in the air. Three times I saw him throw it that way recently and I was holding my breath. Twice it got picked off, once for a touchdown against the Cardinals.
Must be nice to constantly state a clearly wrong opinion and dance around it when others challenge it. Schaub - 188/283 66% 8.3avg 2342yds 16TDs 100.5rtg The stats of the average QB.
I imagine the Texans will do what they did this past offseason - offer him the highest RFA tender, making him a restricted free agent. No one will sign him, given the two first round pick compensation (especially coming off a torn ACL), and he'll be back on another one-year deal and trying to prove to the Texans (as well as other teams) that he's recovered from the injury.
Great game by the Texans. Total domination in the second half. The Texans were lucky the Bills only scored seven points off of the three turnovers. By my count the Texans defense had five three-and-outs, including the fake punt. Once again they showed why they lead the league in that category. Congratulations to Ryan Moats for becoming the first RB in team history to score 3 TDs in a game.
Wow! What a game! That was probably the most fun I have had attending a sporting event. I had great seats right next to the tunnel in the 12th row. Amazingly, our row of six seats had FIVE Texans fans in it! Because I was right next to the tunnel, I got some good pictures of the Bills standing right below me before introductions. I'll have to show them to some friends who are Bills fans. Anyways, I have to say as far as stadium experience, there were a ton more Texans fans than I expected. It was nice to see! The Bills fans were absolutely respectful of me and all the other Texans fans around me. I give them an A+ for that. A few, before Daniels got hurt, even told me that he was the best tight end in football.(Despite my trying to be modest, and saying, "Well, yeah, I think he's definitely one of the best." One guy said to me, "no he IS the best. He's on my fantasy team.") A couple people turned to me and asked me who this Moats 'fella was. To which I just answered with a big grin. I even had a few Bills fans sharing peanuts with me. I have to say just from being at that game, man our linebacking core is impressive. Cushing was absolutely everywhere on the field. He even seemed more of a leader than Demeco. Both, together, are just great, though. I hope we can keep them, together for a long, long time. Back to Cushing, though. I will hereby eat crow for everything I ever said about the guy. He is the real deal. Guy is an absolute athletic playmaking monster. That interception was a thing of beauty. The guy was there to deliver the last extra blow on just about every play. A couple times I saw our coaches pull him aside and seem to tell him to watch out for unnecessary roughness. As soon as Daniels went down, I was worried. (Here's to a quick recovery) I thought our offense would struggle, and I expressed that to everyone that would listen. And with the way we were playing, we didn't need to struggle anymore. As Owen Daniels was walking off the field, just before half, I leaned into the tunnel and yelled a rather pathetic, manlove-esque, "We need you OWEN DANIELS!" On a side note, something was weird. It seemed that everyone in the game kept either getting their cleats caught, or just slipping. It happened a lot. I know it rained Saturday night in Buffalo, but that shouldn't affect things terribly. Anyways, this team showed some heart and character yesterday. We finally put our foot to their neck after we had a good lead. That's what I like to see. What a way to build momentum. Ryan Moats played a great game. He's got that great ability to be able to fall forward for that last extra yard or two. He could be a nice sparkplug in games that Slaton is not fairing so well. (I'd rather him split carries than Brown, who played OK) I think Slaton, sans fumbles, runs for at least 150 yesterday. Plus, I think he helps the passing game a little more. But we didn't need him, and you gotta teach him a lesson. In other news, Vontae Leach is absolutely huge in person. I got a wave from Andre Johnson, which was pretty awesome. I got a point and a wink from Dominique Barber. A head nod from Mario, and a "smile, cuz I'm trying to act like I'm not good enough and/or too cool for someone to actually know who I am" from Connor Barwin. There was some crazy Canadian Texans fan sitting a few seats from me. (does that even make sense?) The guy was like drunk off his mind, and kept asking me things five times over. He gave me peanuts, and then said, "This is a nice peanut!" To which a Bills fan turned around and asked him if he had just told me I had a nice penis? So then, the Canadian turns to me, and asks me, three times, "So, when did you come up from Penis?" What? Finally, he rephrased that into "So, when did you move up from Texas?" Good times.
