Figured this deserved it's own thread. :( So sad given the season he was having, and so typical for the Texans that even a day as great as today ends up somehow going wrong. Hopefully Casey is ready.

Tough blow to the team, but I think we'll be pleased with James Casey's performance.

    Just awful.
daniels didn't get the nickname 'awesome' just because it sounds cool. He is the best TE in the league. Like you said, casey and driessen have to step up.

This is horrible. He was playing like the best TE in football recently.

Wow...this sucks for him and his contract. He was on his way to a HUGE pay day.

    Hope Casey steps up.

Wow, this blows. I hope OD can come back strong, and get his money.

Cheer him up with a new contract, he's earned it.

Yep... front loaded contracts for a reason.

Sucks that Owen couldn't ink a long term deal and had to settle for a 1-year... that stings

This is unreal...the only "good" that can come out of this is now we have time to evaluate what Casey can do in actual games that matter. His play can affect what we do about OD's contract situation, but I was him back!

If he's out, I actually expect to see more David Anderson and Joel Dreesen than James Casey.

Lets face it... OD was in there for his pass-catching ability, not his blocking. In fact, Kevin Walter is probably a better downfield blocker than OD.

Anderson already started to see increased looks today as a result of the OD injury.
