No one thinks Sumlin is a "system" coach... did you think A&M's offense when Sumlin was there was a "system"? Did you think Oklahoma's offense when Sumlin was there was a "system"? Yeah, I thought not. Don't be bitter just because your team is pretty much the worst in the country.
Keenum's arm overcomes a multitude of sins. I wouldn't say he's the next David Klingler / Kliff Kingsbury / Colt Brennan automatically though. Kind of glad they lost a game now, if they gotten a bowl game vs somebody with stout O-line / D-lines, they'd have been ass-blasted like when Georgia skull****ed June Jones's Rainbow Brite Bunch a few years ago.
Actually his arm is his biggest sin. He can't throw the ball more than 30 yards consistently. But his composure, awareness, scrambling, accuracy, release and game management are tops.
UTEP lost at home to UAB, so UH controls their own destiny for a C-USA championship. Big test next week on the road at Tulsa.
