I was talking about the gap between the 2 playoff games. Oct 29 and Nov 8. Why not have the game this weekend? The Seahawks are on the road which means no stadium conflict. I just think 10 days off is bad for both teams.

Does UH still restrict the Dynamo from playing weekday night games? I still remember that game they had to play in College Station...

So after completely missing this thread when I looked for it, I'm here to remind everyone that the game is in 5 minutes!

Pat Onstad doesn't deserve that yellow card and Freddy Montero is the "John Stockton" of the MLS.

I got to be honest I don't know much about soccer especially MLS. I know they play home and home in playoffs but do away goals matter that much?

Why was the first game in Seattle when Houston was the higher seed?

Higher seed gets the second game at home. It's generally viewed to be an advantage to have the second of the two games at home similar to how you want to be on offense second in the college football overtime system.

i guess since there's only 2 games..you want the final to be at your place if you have home court.

Seattle's 2 best players today are both former Dynamo players.

Pretty entertaining game, despite the 0-0 result. We're lucky Onstad wasn't ejected with a red card, which would have seriously put the hammer on us. I like what Landin did for the few minutes he was in there; he's very creative with the ball and seems to slip out of trouble with ease. Dominic Oduro is a little too wild, but the game itself was crazy. Players flying everywhere, possession tough to keep.

Looks like the Dynamo are in the driver's seat for the next game, they just have to take care of business and make up last year's horrible game against New York to themselves and us, the fans.

I wasn't all that impressed with Freddy's play in that game. I was referring to Ianni and Jacqua. Ianni had two of their best chances of the night and Nate was a spark plug in the 2nd half.

That's soccer, their are often long periods between matches in leagues around the world. And it would have been terrible for Dynamo to play again this Sunday, they've already played 4 in the last 12 days. The Houston FO would be crying foul on that one...and rightfully so.

caught the second half of this game.
It was intense at the end...and I kept yelling at the ref to blow the whistle after the 93min.

Landin looks out of shape and didn't do much. I think the sounders had more shots on goal (atleast in the 2nd half). Good thing our defense held strong.

Really considering going to 2nd leg in Houston.

Tix prices anyone? Will be my first dynamo game

In the MLS, there is no "away goal" rule. If they're still tied after 90 in Houston, they'll play 2 15 minute halves (no sudden death). If they're still tied after that, they'll go to penalty kicks.

I'm happy about the away tie. Have to get it at home. I wish I could be there. Get out there and get your orange on.

    GO DYNAMO!

rhino, when you're not used to something like the rules here about the home and away matches, it will seem dumb, but you will grow to love it. Home at second game is sort of like the 7th game of the series. You have your home behind you. I kinda hate the short NFL season, but that's just me...
I agree on the Landín point. :( I was disappointed.

Dynamo's web site has a 4-pack with nice goodies aside from the low-cost tickets.
