Anderson could be a good PF next to Yao.

    7'6 and 6'11

    Keep Scola/landry/chuck

Still feel like we could sign or trade for one more 7 footer.

    Get rid of Pops/Dorsey/Cook

This could make other players like Battier easier to trade if Landry can play the 3...

    Interesting...

scola > andersen. if you keep scola, he's gonna start over andersen.

Andersen could back-up Yao but he can't play along side him. Their games are too similar. They'd conflict.

We need a brawling type power forward to put next to Yao.

Otis Thorpe like player - that guy would have been perfect.

Scola is by far a better rebounder than Andersen wich to me is key to playing alongside Yao. Scola is just a better fit.

Opposing guards who slice through that front line and have Yao with in foul trouble and Andersen fouled out by the second quarter. It might work on some nights, though.

I still want to see Andersen/Hayes together right now. I think others have mentioned that as well. Not starting together but getting more time together.

I don't know, not without parting with Scola which I don't think RA or Les or Morey would ever do.

We all hoped Landry could fill that role but he's not as physical as I had hoped. Dorsey was physical but too slow and injury prone, too unskilled.

We've been searching for that guy for a long time.

But these guys....Brooks, Ariza, Scola, Hayes, Battier, Lowery, and so on - you add a healthy superstar tandem of Yao and Mac, and wow....so sad we didn't get to see Yao-Mac play with this supporting cast against Dallas or Utah a few years back.

I've always thought that Anderson (or is it Andersen?) is more similar to Pau Gasol than anyone and that he'd make a better power forward than center but the rub is three-fold.

    1. Like many of you said before, Yao and Anderson together would result in a slow, soft frontcourt. Of course, I can't imagine it being exactly easy to drive past those two and Anderson could always improve.

    2. Scola is better. Even Landry at this point is better. Yes, Anderson could improve but so can Scola and Landry. At BEST, I can see Anderson coming off the bench behind Scola making Landry expendable which leads me to my third point...

    3. Having a seven foot power forward coming off the bench would look stupid with a much smaller center out there. We would need yet another seven footer out there to actually play center. Someone who could shut off the paint to make up for smaller opposing power forwards getting by Anderson.

Andersen is not a traditional C, very good at perimeter shooting. He even can shoot 3. I think that could work. It will depend on matchup.

Andersen is a lot like Howard was during his Rockets tenure actually. So... YA I said it.

I agree. Anderson's combination of size and shooting ability would be a great complement to Yao's inside presence. What would the Magic be looking to get in a trade?

    BINGO!

Andersen and Yao on the floor at the same time would do little to help either.
Pops and Yao would be nice to see.

Rasheed Wallace in his prime would have been the absolute perfect compliment to Yao.
