It just means Maggette had better and more effective players surrounding him when he was on the floor. Budinger, obviously, did not, or not to that extent.

But he is ultra competitive, unlike Odom the slacker.

He was jacking up bunch shots and bricking 95% of them. Killed Warriors momentum.

A good win and something to build on. Let us not get euphoric about this win. As Adelman said, we cannot be too high or too low in this league or we will go crazy. Congrats Rockets for a gritty win.

I think DD wanted him and his bloated contract for Battier.

Man I loved that epic 3 pointer by Luis Scola by the way it looks exactly like the Yao Ming 3 pointer he made against Charlotte

Dont ever put kobe and yo in the same sentence. yao after returns, he'll be 30, 3 stress fractures in 3 years and that humongus frame will only put more stress on it. t best he'll be a op 5 cetr and top 30 player from here on.

What I didn't like: with 29 seconds in the 3rd quarter, they ran down the clock through the full 24 seconds and missed the shot, and the warriors came back and scored at the buzzer. Why do they run down the clock like that? They should look for the best available shot since the warriors will get a good look anyway.

Perhaps based on the fact the Rockets were missing two starters (if not stars) and playing the second of two roadgames in a row versus a fresgh team playing its home opener?

Maybe that's why the Warriors were favoed in the game? :)

In a season where your two franchise players are missing significant time, you take wins where you can get them. Just enjoy the win. Seriously. There are zero expectations for this franchise. You can not possibly be disappointed.

They seem very sloppy, but a win is a win...came out very strong in the 2nd half and got the ball to scola and let him do his thing. I think the fact that we dont have a go-to guy makes this team very hard to predict, we have scola, brooks, ariza, landry, buddinger, any of those five can go off for 20+ points in a game and be a go to guy, makes it hard for teams to clamp down on one guy and shut us down, the draw back is neither of those 5 are so reliable that they can be counted on night in and night out and there easily will be nights when none of them will be hitting. I like what i saw offensivley, defensivly it seems like we have taken a step down from last year.
